🍎 An Apple a Day | Pick What You Want Book Stack 🍎 💭 QoTD: Do you follow a regularly scheduled reading list or do you pick books to read based on vibes? ✍🏻 I’m sick. I’ve been diagnosed with “Mood Read”. It’s a rather contagious illness. One that I have no problem spreading, want to highly encourage, and will forgo all medical advice as long as it takes. Honestly, I don’t know when I caught this bug 🐛 but it must have been around the time I looked at my TBR of what I had to read and I just said… “F*ck it.” 🍏 I would apologize for spreading this much needed illness, and maybe I should quarantine myself, but I don’t want to. Instead I’d rather share this anomaly and watch it take off. Watch it manifest. Embed. Grow… 📖 I struggle with wanting to stay the course. To keep a regimented list. The onslaught of impending due dates of releases, publication dates. Shoving in as much as possible, and not remembering a damn thing I read because the date was all I saw. Read it quickly, review, post, and repeat. “F*ck it.” 🍎 So, I’m just going to pick my books based on this illness. Maybe the apple 🍏 (book) a day will keep the impending doom of feeling behind at bay. Then maybe, eventually - I can read those books, without the hover of dates - with joy. Cause at the end of it all, that’s what really matters. 🍏 Happy Monday. I sat on my floor and sobbed, and I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to move on from the emotional roller coaster @wandahellmund just put me through. 😭 Mira and Aidric’s story completely owns a piece of my heart. They’re both stubborn, passionate, and determined, and watching them navigate dark magic, murder, secrets, war, and everything between them had me completely hooked. The tension, yearning, heartbreak, twists, and sheer EMOTIONS had me feeling everything. There were moments where my heart was so full, moments where I was furious, and moments where I just had to sit there and process what I’d read. I buddy read this with @hushedlibrary and @ashleyreads_books and we are all equally broken. I’m not sure when we’ll recover, but at least we’re suffering together. 😂😭 I genuinely think this book is going to stay with me for a long, long time. I adored Mira and Aidric, I adored this story, and I’m pretty sure a tiny piece of my soul is still sitting on my floor with me. 🖤 💬 QOTD: What book has left you so emotionally wrecked that you needed a recovery period afterward? ❤️‍🩹

💗💚 the way I just fell completely in love with a zombie apocalypse, two messy humans, and a cat named Chicken… 💗💚 Thank you @dellromance for the ARC 🥹💗 Doomsdate by @laurapiperlee releases September 15, and you NEED this book on your TBR. 📚🧟‍♀️ When I tell you YOU NEED THIS BOOK, I mean it. Immediately add it to your TBR because this was one of the most ridiculously fun books I’ve read. 🧰 A doomsday prepper. 🎓 A liberal arts professor. 🧟‍♀️ ZOMBIES. 🚗 A road trip. 🗼 A lighthouse. 🎬 An indoor theater. 👀 🐈 And a cat named CHICKEN. What could possibly go wrong? EVERYTHING. AND THEN SOME. 😂 I would absolutely NOT survive an apocalypse, so Maisie’s preparedness had me both impressed and deeply aware of how doomed I would be. 😂 I laughed out loud enough to literally startle my husband! And somehow, beneath all the chaos, this book was SO layered. The characters were incredibly well developed, Maisie’s growth was beautiful, Everett’s trauma broke my heart, and Gramps is officially one of my favorite side characters ever. 🥹 And the lighthouse and indoor theater scenes? Spicy. Delicious. That’s all I’m saying. 🌶️🤭 This book was hilarious, chaotic, heartfelt, emotional, addictive, and just an absolute BLAST from beginning to end. Some of my first attempts were a shock to look back on, but now I’d think that flatlays are one of my better performing posts. Isn’t that crazy? Nothing changed overnight, but I took a lot of inspiration from other creators, flatlays that I myself loved looking at and just made my eyes happy you know? My Pantone Birth Chat Book Recommendations! Since I keep seeing this trend I felt like I was missing out so tried it. Thank you @theambersbookshelf for showing me how too I really appreciate it. I will say though my goodness was this tough I went through years of books I’ve read to figure this out and had to narrow down to ones I really liked 😂! Whilst I would say I do think it chose pretty good colours me trying to match those green was extremely hard. What’s funny also is when I took my background picture I had no idea I had it on chapter 33 which funnily enough is what I turn next month so felt rather fitting! Anyway hope you enjoy my recs haha!
