What an exhilarating set from @extc.band aboard @theklabris! My second gig on a ship in a week after seeing @the_official_buzzcocks on the Dixie Queen on the Thames. They played a COLOSSAL 26-song set, unfortunately they went on at the mad-early time of 7.30pm (WTF? That's earlier than some support acts!) so I missed the first 10 songs, but I got front and centre for the last 16 songs and bagsied the setlist so that made up for it 😆 Jumped up and down for 90mins non-stop, what a rush! This clip only conveys a tiny speck of how mind-crushingly loud and electric the set was, my right knee is covered in bruises today from bashing it off the foldback in my frenzied abandon but I wouldn't change a thing, it was that brilliant! XTC songs are so hard to play and get right given the intricacies and complexity of their music with so much ground for four musicians to cover but these cats nailed it! So talented, top chops all four of them. My first time seeing any member of XTC live, Terry Chambers (my favourite drummer ever) played a blinder, so glad he's back playing live again!

The place was rammed, and it was so good to see so many girls and women there belting out every word! I had no idea XTC have so many female fans! Another highlight of the night was making some lovely new pals, @huwareyou, Woon Cana and Bradley! Finished the night with some top chats at Elmer's Arms. Had to capture this clip of 'Sgt. Rock (Is Going To Help Me)' for my girl @lando.fcandy, it's her favourite! A total bliss-out from start to finish 🫡🥳
