Fangirls are crazy, right?
That’s no different for the King of the Monsters himself—Godzilla!

Had this idea come to mind when I saw @battleclub.jp post about how Godzilla’s 40th Anniversary went down in 1993, before the release of “Godzilla VS MechaGodzilla”.
Be sure to check out @battleclub.jp, as they post pretty cool kaiju related content from action to horror.

What’s one of the weirdest and most obscure tapes that you own? Here’s one from Japan:“UFO Kamen Yakisoban” a full length feature based on the UFO yakisoba mascot hero. Yakisoba is a common Japanese fried noodle dish, so think of UFO as similar to cup noodles. They went so far with the mascot and commercials that they made a full length feature film AND a Super Famicom game. I remember seeing these ads as a young kid. It’s a pretty big throwback not to mention being totally absurd.

Thanks to @lsaille1 for this one.

What an amazing opportunity to have an appointment with the legendary @japanbookhunter in Koenji. It was such a pleasure to finally meet you and see your office in person! I was able to browse and select certain books from so many great choices. He’s incredibly friendly and welcoming, I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and seeing his personal film reels of Robocop, Akira, and Ninja Scroll(I caught some footage in one of the slides) not to mention so many other excellent magazines and books. Thank you again! 🙏

I highly suggest to do the same if you’re a fan/customer of the shop.
