Really happy to finally share the first small
collection we have been developing with @blue_garden_sashiko

Sashiko is a traditional Japanese stitching practice rooted in care, repair, and longevity - a way of strengthening old garments while honoring their history.

Sashiko has been a long standing interest of mine throughout the years of thrifting and working with vintage garments. That fascination only deepened after seeing amazing examples from up close in Japan. So meeting Rūta shortly after our trip felt like a natural next step towards bringing that interest to life. This drop is the first result of that collaboration — and just the beginning.

“Through sashiko-inspired stitching, I merge traditional Japanese knowledge with playful contemporary imagery. For this small collection, I worked with vintage kimono silk and linen, using traditional cotton sashiko thread, linocut prints and intuitive stitching. My aim was to elevate these beautiful vintage garments without overpowering them — to add charm rather than completely recreate them. To add that extra tactile pleasure. So, I hope among them you’ll find something that resonates with who you are.”
