Hurts a lot to underperform and lose out on podium on my last nationals as a junior but the journey won’t end here of course. Very rough prep full of injury and sickness unfortunately but I decided to show up regardless and make a day out of it. 1/3 on any lift is pretty new to me but I did explode my glute and hamstring so made a business decision not to go out for the third. Got really ill two weeks out and it wrecked my body, couldn’t ask for much more out of it today. Last minute switch to sumo due to injury was interesting but paid off? All time sumo PR despite failing 240kg three weeks in a row for my peak LOL

First powerlifting meet! April Iron Clash 🌷

Total: 462.5kg / 1019.6lbs

Squat: 185kg / 407.8lbs (+10kg ATPR)
Bench: 77.5kg / 170.86lbs (ATPR match)
Deadlift: 200kg / 440.9lbs (+12.5kg ATPR)

Went 9/9 with 26/27 white lights.

About a year into powerlifting, I’ve fallen in love with the sport and I can’t wait to see where it takes me.

Huge thank you to my coach @strengthbystephen who programmed and coached me all the way to a 1000lb total, making the right calls today, and everyday, and always having faith in me.

Thank you to @forgetoronto @forgestrengthbarbell for organizing such an amazing meet, and to the whole Forge family for helping me push my limits for the past year.

Was able to pr all 3 by week 3 and then beat them again week 4 (almost)

SBD day, 7 weeks out

Squatted my ATPR for 3 🥰
160kg / 352.7 lbs x 3 @ RPE 9
Depth was hit, and form stayed pretty consistent.

Bench with 3 sec tempo and pause
Top set 62.5 x 4 @ RPE 7.5

Paused deadlifts
Top set 145kg x 4 @ RPE 7.5
I was so fatigued I forgot to pause the third rep

Last video is from back in November of last year, when I squatted 160kg for an ATPR. 🥹🥹
