A PUBLIC DISCLAIMER ON MY FINAL YEAR BRETHREN (FYB) COSTUME DAY AND THAT LEGAL COSTUME ⚖️ ⚠️

You see, One of the interesting things about Final Year Week is the diversity it brings with it. Cos each day comes with its own theme, character and expression, and students get the opportunity to step outside the ordinary and have fun in whatever dimension they choose to explore.

But I think one of the craziest days of them all was that Costume/Career Day. 😆

And Unilag students with their OVERDO (which I think I like anyway 😂) So, on that costume day, we had all manner of displays and representation from both professions you recognise to characters you never expected to see, and some of them being presented in the most creative and unexpected ways made it all hilarious and exciting. And honestly, that was what made that day so interesting.

So Now, somewhere in all of that, I apparently created a small misunderstanding amongst my Online family, my village people and friends who are somehow far away. 😩😂

Cos, A few them have seen my pictures in the legal outfit and assumed I am now a lawyer—or perhaps that I studied Law and are about to hire me to represent them in court

Well..I did not o. 🫠😂

It was just a representation of a childhood dream. But now, I believe God has a different plan which eventually took me in a different direction.

Thereforeee, My legal costume was just a playful return to an earlier dream and not any indication to mislead and deceive my audience about a profession that I didn’t or, haven’t taken yet. 🤲

And yes, I am very much a proud graduate of Philosophy. 🧠🎓

Title: Right Before You
Director: Dayniel
Film By: Shadowed Luminance

“Right Before You” is a quiet, reflective short film about searching, guidance, and realization.
It follows two individuals a guy and a girl, who move through the same world yet remain unaware of each other. Both are searching for something: direction, connection, meaning. They walk separate paths, lost in thought, often looking far beyond themselves for answers.
Throughout the film, birds in the sky serve as a silent metaphor, moving freely, guided without knowing where they are going, yet never lost. Just like them, the characters are being led, even when they feel uncertain.
They pass each other, almost connect, and continue searching, unaware that what they seek is already near.
As the story unfolds, moments of stillness and reflection begin to shift their awareness. Gradually, they realize that what they have been searching for has been in front of them all along.
In the end, they finally see each other, not as strangers, but as the answer they never recognized.
