Today's outcome is such a news good for my heart!! 😍

FROM FOUNDER-LED TO LEGACY-LED
How the fantastic 5 of SAMI 😄 was able to manage the affairs of the past 5 months since the passing of our Founder, Toyin Ibidunni Adesola with our little fears, worries, and tears, mixed with high hopes and raw faith is such a story of Resilience that I could actually write another piece on that intervening period. I salute you: Maureen, Tobi, Bolaji, Peter, and myself 🫡

I believe we showed our commitment during the season that the great work at Sickle Cell Advocacy and Management Initiative SAMI is safe and that the momentum built should be sustained. See, doing this job at SAMI is more than just showing up, it is showing up and waiting until the last man on the line is served... with heart, grace, dexterity, tact, skill and counsel.

I sincerely appreciate our ever supportive Board comprising a brilliant set of leaders including Femi Olubanwo, Foluke Ogunbekun, Fola Akinrinlola, Dr. Cecilia Mabogunje, Ayodeji Jeremiah, Shola Abiloye, Debola Deji - Kurunmi, Chris Nnakwe, Temitope Jemerigbe, Moses Ida-Michaels led by the indefatigable Foluso Phillips for walking with us through that season. I celebrate our partners, donors, sponsors, volunteers and collaborators who pumped our faith that this legacy work deserved their 100 percent.

We emerge into a new light and #theworkhasjuststarted as our Chairman FOP charged us 🚀

Dear Maureen, I trust God that this work will flourish in your hands. The Spirit of excellence will be manifestly evident in your life! Strength and Honor, Maureen!!

This is #YO!

Hire or Fire: The Deeper Conversation.

Leaders keep asking, “should I hire or should I fire?”

But…

The real question should be, “Did we create the conditions for performance, or did we set them up to fail?”

Firing is easy. Hiring is expensive. But keeping a misaligned talent is the most expensive of all. It drains culture, kills morale, and taxes your best performers.

Before we fire, let’s audit ourselves: Did we give clarity? Did we coach or mentor? Did we practice consequence management real time? If we did and there’s still no shift, then we are not firing a person, you are protecting the standard. The team standard. The standard of the organisation.

Great leaders don’t hire fast and fire furiously. They hire right and develop fiercely. But when development fails, they release firmly, respectfully and without drama.

In the final analysis, talent management is not about being nice. It’s about being honest. And that’s first to self as a leader.

Thank God it’s Monday. Cheers to a fulfilling week 🥂.

Thank you @iam.fop for sharing your thoughts, Sir.

Growth is exciting, but doing the right thing is what sustains it.

At The Founders’ Meet, themed “The Cost of Scale,” @iam.fop Executive Chairman & Founder of The @phillips_consulting challenged business owners to remember that growth comes with responsibility.

His message was simple but powerful: do the right things, even when they are difficult. Build your business on the right foundations, make decisions with integrity, and stay committed to what is right as you scale.

Because sustainable growth isn’t just about how big your business becomes. It’s about how well you build it.

Here’s a look at some key moments from @iam.fop session. 🎥

What’s one “right thing” every business owner should never compromise on? Tell us in the comment!

It was such a fitting tribute in honor of the 61st Posthumous Birthday of our Founder, the Resilience Boss Toyin Ibidunni Adesola yesterday as our phenomenal Dr. Folasade Popoola launched her Next Haematology Foundation, with a special Sickle Cell clinic proudly supported by IHS Nigeria, Mediquip, and SAMI.

The clinic offered specialist care to over 160 beneficiaries in a single day with continuous support expected beyond the day.

Congratulations, Dr. Popoola.
Rest in power, TA ✊🏾

Dear FOP,

Today is Father's Day, we have known you for years as a father who is deeply vested in helping Toyin find expressions for all her many big goals, dreams, ideas, and her legacy project, SAMI.

Sometimes we see that 'Toyin are you sure' feeling but you still move along with her 😉

The events of the past one month have brought us closer with you more than ever before. Through all of it, we have observed closely your fatherly love and are soaking all in. 🤗

You have further entrenched that firm belief in us at SAMI that 'we are not without a father after all'

This little thing that we can do at SAMI, we will do 🤩
We appreciate you so much. Thank you for carrying us at SAMI in your big arms. Thank you for your reassurances. We trust that by God's Grace, we will be able to deliver standards and keep the flag flying.

From all of us at:
