POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s hard to believe everything that’s happened in just 3.5 months.

Back in December, I was scared. We had strong programs running in Center City and a new group of Haymakers fighters ready for January 1. Then, suddenly, the space we’d trained in for years closed. Just like that, we were out.

My support network and I got to work. That first month was unstable. Bouncing between gyms, rebuilding the schedule each week just to keep sessions alive. It was a rough start. I worried about what that uncertainty meant for the team and if I could still give them what they needed for the task they signed up for.

Then we found a space. It wasn’t much. No ring, no bags, just open floors. But it was steady. So I adapted. We went old school: roadwork, shadowboxing, mitts, sparring. Honest, hard work. Slowly, the progress showed.

Along the way, people showed up. Quietly and consistently. Teammates, alumni, friends, and my other programs all contributed in their own ways. It wasn’t one place or one group; it was a network that kept this thing moving forward.

At one point, we filmed a CBS segment to help drive ticket sales. I said, “I build family, I build fighters, and I build friends through this.” I meant it. Somewhere in the middle of all this, it became real in a way I didn’t expect. This group even started calling themselves “Harry’s Children.”
By fight night, we had built something solid.
And then something happened I still don’t fully know how to process: Undercard went 4–0 on a 9-fight card.
At the after party, people kept asking how it felt. The truth is, I’m still figuring that out.
I’ve always been more about the process than the outcome. I care about sharing my love of training with the communities I serve. I don’t particularly care if we win or not, I care that my fighters come out safe, and better versions of themselves through the journey.
So to win in that way is… flooring. I’m humbled. I’m relieved. I’m grateful. I’m thankful. And yes—I am proud as hell!

Thank you so much to everyone that supported this year’s team.
Until next time✌🏼❤️🥊
