This project at Burtch and Harvey was reported to be completed in 2 weeks from September 14th to 28th with “minimum disruption” to your nearby residents.

Please explain/justify how this much noise at midnight on a weeknight is considered “minimally disruptive”. I live several blocks away and was just woken up from sleep by this. I work from home all day and have not heard any of this kind of noise during the daylight hours!

Not to mention, the road stayed closed with absolutely 0 progress on the project for nearly 4 weeks. I love to see our taxpayer money being spent that way.

First off, congrats to @iambradythecreator, Brady Rogers, on winning his seat on Kelowna city council. The "I barely want to do this" campaign worked.

A few people have mixed us up, so to clear it up:

Brady: Kelowna, BC. Newly elected city councillor. Turns plastic waste into products at The Rogerie. Barely wanted to do this.

Jon: Collingwood, Ontario. Running for mayor. Tech entrepreneur, hockey and flag football coach, dad of two boys. Very much wants to do this.

Brady already won his. Ours isn't over yet. Collingwood votes until Monday, October 26.

Now that the smoke has settled, I can finally talk about Brady Rogers. He ran a campaign on humility, self deprecation and more importantly, transparency. If you look deeper into who he is, you’ll know that he is highly intelligent, and willing to do the research on any issue going on. While one of our 3 mayoral candidates was full of jokes and punch lines, he was actually just brutally honest with himself and what he can bring to the table. There were other candidates who used social media, but I felt they made it about themselves, and it showed in the final vote tally.
10/10 campaign, and I am excited to see what he brings to the table.

Congratulations to everyone elected and kudos to everyone who went out to voice their opinion on the ballot.

On another note, have a look at this new political contender, @iambradythecreator Incredibly bright, an outside-the-box thinker, with a fabulous sense of humour, genuine empathy, and that rare ability to see beyond what’s directly in front of him.

For the first time in perhaps EVER, I’m genuinely excited about someone entering the political scene. Imagine that! 😂 We need more people willing to think differently, challenge the ordinary, and bring a little humanity and humour to the conversation.

Meanwhile, still studying. Still training. Still NOT a new Mamzy! 😂 Baby has apparently decided to take the scenic route, but induction is happening Saturday. Stay tuned! 👶❤️

Unfortunately an interview with Ron Cannan will not be happening. Despite my best efforts to make something work, he is either unwilling or simply doesnt have a good answer to the direct questions I had for him.

He can call my style of media gotcha journalism but I asked him a very direct question on his 20/20 hindsight on one of his votes at the federal level.

I stand by my content and hope that he can answer these questions more directly… no matter what his answer is.

Rogers, a former automation engineer and downtown business owner, says he doesn’t even enjoy politics but is running because he wants to improve affordability, transit and how the city works for residents.
