Home of a Good Things Jar!🩵💞
Do you have one?☺️

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My big good thing this September is starting a new project that I really want to commit to: crocheting a cosy little blanket for the sofa. 🧶🍂

It’s my goal for this autumn, and I’m really excited to see it slowly come together.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to show you the finished blanket in a few months!

September has been a very busy month, so my page has naturally taken on those cosy early-autumn vibes — a little reminder to enjoy the small things.
Another little pocket of memories added to my Good Things Zine.

So happy and grateful to be sharing these little good things challenge with @iamccbitz and @i.tear.paper month after month. 🤎

I want to first thank my beloved, amazingly skilled husband for tackling this project - he worked endless weekend hours to make this happen for me - partially to get me and all my art supplies out of our tiny house. 🤗🤣 and also my beautiful friend @iamccbitz for asking me several times to finally pull this video off. 🫶 I lerv you, Cece 😘

I love this space so much 🥰 am so incredibly grateful for it. 🙏🥰🤩 Thanks a million for stopping by to check it out. 🫶😘🌟🙏✨#mixedmedia #artstudio #artjournaling #mixedmediaartists

What do I do with toilet paper rolls? I’ve been saving a lot of toilet paper rolls because I’ve taught preschool for years, and if anything, being a preschool teacher has taught me to save things for art projects and find fun ways to use them. I’ve been saving these toilet paper rolls, and I wasn’t sure what I was gonna do with them, but I knew I would do something fun one day lol. I used one to make a pocket, and it’s pretty cute, but I wasn’t sure what else to do with them. Then one of the inspirational makers I follow here on Instagram showed how she makes a toilet paper roll flat, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was so excited; of course I had to try it. She made a journal out of toilet paper rolls, and I am super excited about that too, but I needed to see if I could do this now. I haven’t tried ironing them yet, but according to CC, it does work, and I believe this maker QUEEN. Look at what I did. I use these binder clips to start making them flat, but then I realized, duh. I have a book press, so I put these toilet paper rolls in it for at least 24 hours, and look, it worked! No binder clips needed if I use the book press. Now, save those rolls and see what you can make! If you don’t like the idea of saving toilet paper rolls, save paper towel rolls; they can do the same thing. Let’s upcycle what we can and use it in fun, creative ways.

August — POCKET ☀️🌊🧶

August wasn’t a particularly eventful month, and I think I’m perfectly okay with that.

As usual, summer is a busy time for me at work, but I’ve really enjoyed the long days and the beautiful weather. One of my favourite little routines has been heading to the beach after work, taking a picnic with me and making the most of those extra hours of daylight.

I’ve been to the beach A LOT this summer… and I think this month’s layout makes that pretty obvious 😂🌊

And when I wasn’t at the beach, there was crochet. Lots of crochet! 🧶 It has definitely become one of my favourite things this summer.

So my August pocket is filled with exactly that: sea, sunshine, yarn and ordinary summer days. Nothing extraordinary, perhaps, but lots of little good things worth remembering. 💛

And a little thank you to @iamccbitz and @i.tear.paper for continuing this challenge with me month after month. 💕 I’m really looking forward to seeing your August pages and finding out what your month looked like!

Another month tucked away in my #goodthingszine2026 ✨

Still working on #atcaugust challenge from @mini.collage.collective. I’m a couple of days behind, but that’s okay. The Betty Boop card is made from the envelope @iamccbitz sent her zine in :) #artisttradingcard #collage #mixedmediaart

July felt like this. 🌊

Calm, slow, and full of little creative moments.

Most of my creative time went into the #onepageatatimeinjuly26 challenge, so I wanted this page to stay simple. Sometimes one beautiful image says everything I want to remember.

The background is a paper napkin from my collection—one of my favorite things to collect. Whenever I come across a beautiful napkin, I save it for future creative projects. This underwater design instantly felt like summer, so I knew it belonged here. I sealed it with a coat of acrylic varnish to protect it and bring out its beautiful colors. I’m sure you’ll be seeing it again in future creations. 💙

My monthly reflections are tucked away in a separate little notebook, leaving this spread free to simply capture the feeling of July.

Less really can be more. ☀️

Thank you, @iamccbitz, for creating a challenge that reminds me that every month can be documented in its own way—even the quiet ones. 🤍

June 🌟🩵

Halfway through the year already… how did that happen?

June brought my favourite season… and a new creative adventure.

One of the best moments this month was joining my very first crochet workshop. It inspired me to keep learning and gave me the confidence to finish my first crochet project: customizing a tote bag with granny squares. There was less time for scrapbooking, but creativity simply found a new way to bloom.

Thank you to everyone who shared their creativity, inspiration, and encouragement throughout the challenge.

April — Good Things 2026 ✨

April has been a month of exploring new ways of creating and finding inspiration in small things.

Easter days, trip to Texel, an island here in the Netherlands we had been wanting to visit for so long. Sea, dunes, nature, and that kind of peaceful disconnection.
This month felt full of things I love — and I took the chance to create lots of bookmarks for International Book Day 📚✨
This time I worked with pressed leaves, letting the ink settle into the tags and creating soft embossed textures.
And something new: I created my first altered magazine journal.
I was invited to join a group, and it has been such an inspiring experience — experimenting, cutting, layering… and seeing things differently.

Creating alongside @iamccbitz 🤍
So grateful to share this creative journey with you ☺️

Cece had sent me a link for @mona1_world altered magazine post back in late March, I really loved her altered magazine, we decided to do a collab project and these talented ladies joined in as well. Check out all of their projects inspired by Mona.

I do know some are a work in progress… post when ever you like ladies!

This was definitely a challenge, but also fun! Thanks again for all of the encouragement throughout April ladies

My project included cereal bag pockets, egg carton embellishments, corrugated cardboard and dryer sheets, a few pages include a few pieces of the the original magazine showing

March — Good Things 2026 ✨
March has been a month of flowers🌺🌼🌸🌻

This page began with a girl dreaming of flowers… and slowly, everything around her started to bloom.
I played with different techniques — watercolor, markers, handmade paper with pressed flowers, dried flower stickers, and even a fabric flower from Zero Waste Day.

This month felt full of little things I love — Women’s Day, Poetry Day, Zero Waste Day… all finding their place here.
I also finally organized my dried flowers and started creating with them — stickers, paper… and more to come.
Maybe this is what March feels like…
a soft, quiet way of blooming. 🌸

Creating alongside @iamccbitz 🤍
So grateful to share this journey with you — your creativity and kindness make it even more special.
