POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The best meals don’t start with a recipe. They start with a memory.

A full kitchen. Somebody fixing your plate. Stories being passed around the table. And that one person making sure everyone has enough before they ever sit down.

Momma House was built from moments like these and we’re bringing that feeling to every table we create.

What food takes you back home? 🩵

“I’m just bad with money…”

Nah. That’s not your identity… that’s your conditioning.

Most of us were never taught how money actually works. We picked up habits from our environment, repeated what we saw, and called it “normal.”

But here’s the shift: what was learned can be unlearned.

You don’t need to label yourself. You need to reprogram your approach.

New habits. New awareness. New strategy.

Because once you change how you think about money… you change what your money does for you.

This isn’t about being “good” or “bad” with money.
It’s about evolving. 💭💰

Building a 6-month emergency fund sounds good… until you actually do the math 😅

$8K… $10K… $13K… and suddenly it feels out of reach.

That’s where most people quit.

But the key isn’t jumping to 6 months. It’s starting with ONE.

Stack one solid month of expenses. Then build the next. Then the next.

Before you know it, what once felt impossible becomes your safety net.

And once you hit 6 months? Don’t get comfortable… level up to 12.

Because the goal isn’t just saving money.
It’s creating peace.

So if life hits, you’re not panicking… you’re prepared. 🛡️💰

Same diagnosis. Same situation. Two completely different outcomes.

One person had their finances in order… income protected, bills covered, emergency fund ready. Their only focus? Heal and recover.

The other? Stressed. Rushing back to work. Worried about money. That pressure didn’t just affect their wallet… it affected their recovery.

That’s the power of protecting your income.

We spend thousands on things that don’t protect us… but hesitate when it comes to securing our future.

Real wealth isn’t just about making money. It’s about making sure life doesn’t break you when income stops.

Because if your income disappears tomorrow… what happens next?

Protect your peace. Protect your family. Protect your bag. 🛡️💰

On the outside, everything looked fine. Smiles. Discipline. Showing up.

But internally? Mentally drained. Spiritually questioning. Just trying to hold it together.

There are moments in life where it feels like everything is falling apart… and you start asking “Why me?”

But sometimes the better question is… “What is this moment trying to build in me?”

Because pressure doesn’t just break you. It reveals you. It refines you. It exposes what’s been hiding beneath the surface.

And in those seasons, having the right people around you matters. The ones who remind you not to sit in the storm… but to grow through it.

Most people chase success without building a foundation.
But real wealth… real strength… is built in those quiet battles nobody sees.

If you’re in that season right now, don’t quit. You might not be breaking… you might be being built. 🧱✨

“I can’t save… I’m living paycheck to paycheck.”

That’s real. But here’s the uncomfortable truth… it’s not always just income. Sometimes it’s habits. Sometimes it’s boundaries.

We’re talking about building an emergency fund when it feels impossible… and why most people aren’t as “stuck” as they think.

From eating out too often to funding other people’s emergencies, money has a way of slipping through the cracks when there’s no structure.

You don’t need perfection. You need awareness. You need discipline. And sometimes… you need to say NO.

Because you can’t build your safety net while being everyone else’s.

Start small. Stay consistent. Protect your peace and your pockets. 💰🛑

Over half of Americans can’t cover a $1,000 emergency out of pocket… no credit cards, no loans, just cash. Let that sit for a second.

That’s not just a money issue. That’s a knowledge issue. A conversation issue. A household issue.

If finances aren’t being talked about at home, where are people supposed to learn?

On this episode of Secure the Bag, we get real about the gap. The systems. The lack of financial education. And most importantly… the people who are ready to break the cycle anyway.

Because not everybody comes from wealth.
But somebody has to decide wealth starts with them.

If even a small percentage of people decide to change their financial story, that ripple can turn into generational transformation.

This one is for the ones figuring it out with no blueprint… but still determined to build one. 💼✨
