Real strength means putting others first. 🥋🦁

Humility isn’t thinking less of yourself—it’s choosing to value and serve others.

This week, let someone go first, celebrate a friend’s success, and look for opportunities to help others—even when it’s inconvenient.

“In humility value others above yourselves…” — Philippians 2:3 🙏

How can you say kung fu works ?

Kung fu is maximizing your potential through discipline and as a martial art it includes and involves maximizing the human body’s ability to cause harm and healing.

Traditional Chinese systems often contained 功法 (gōngfǎ)—skill-development methods beyond simply learning techniques or forms. Conditioning practices could include striking bags or progressively harder surfaces, partner limb-conditioning, stance/isometric work, gripping and lifting implements, body conditioning, flexibility/mobility, breath training, weapons, forms and partner work. 跌打 (diēdǎ) traditions also developed alongside martial training and included massage, liniments and other traditional approaches to traumatic injuries.

Forms don’t teach you HOW to fight. But what DO they teach you?

Respect everyone. 🥋🦁

God made every person special, so we’re called to treat others with kindness and care—even when we don’t always agree.

This week, practice respect by speaking kindly, listening without interrupting, and treating others the way you want to be treated.

“Show proper respect to everyone…” — 1 Peter 2:17 🙏

🦁 Forgiveness isn’t forgetting—it’s choosing freedom and peace.

Jesus calls us to let go of bitterness and forgive, just as He has forgiven us. This week, take a step toward healing by making peace, showing kindness, and praying for someone who has hurt you.

📖 “If you hold anything against anyone, forgive them.” — Mark 11:25

It’s OFFICIAL! 🎉 The 12-week Leadership Program has come to an end!

These students have been such an incredible blessing to our Grandmaster Academy family. Over the past 12 weeks, they’ve built strong friendships, learned how to share and live out the Gospel, developed skills to resolve conflict quickly and effectively, and prepared themselves to serve others wherever life takes them. 🦁

We’re so proud of the time, effort, and heart each student has put into becoming a stronger leader.

A huge thank you to all of the parents who supported and encouraged their students throughout this journey. And to our students—thank you for being willing to learn, grow, serve, and challenge yourselves. We can’t wait to see how you continue to lead! 💪🥋

The program may be over, but the leadership journey is just beginning. 🦁🔥

Confidence is built one round at a time. 🥊

Our Young Champions (ages 7–12) practice controlled sparring every class in a safe, encouraging environment. They’re building confidence, discipline, resilience, and learning how to stay calm under pressure.

That’s what martial arts is really about.

🦁 Patience isn’t just waiting—it’s trusting that God is working behind the scenes.

📖 “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him…” — Psalm 37:7

This week, choose to trust God’s timing, celebrate others, and thank Him for what He’s already done. Your waiting has a purpose. 🙏

We’ve officially reached the halfway point of our 12-week, Leadership Program at Grandmaster Academy!

These incredible students have been learning what it means to be selfless, Christlike leaders—serving others, encouraging and training those around them, and recognizing potential dangers before they become problems.

Along the way, they’ve also had a blast working together through hands-on team scenarios that help prepare them for real-life situations while building confidence, leadership, and teamwork.

We are truly blessed by each of these students and are excited to see how God continues to grow them into leaders who make a difference both inside and outside the academy. ❤️
