@ericlegrand52 was destined for the NFL when tragedy struck on October 16th, 2010. Just days before the 16 year anniversary of his accident, we had the honor of sitting down with him to go deep on his life and where he is today.

The name of this series is I Wasn’t Supposed to Be Here, but Eric is exactly where he’s supposed to be.

Experience comes with lessons, and some cost you years you can never get back.

I sat down with author and host Jonathan Conyers on the Jon Conyers Network for an honest conversation about my life, incarceration, and the realities of the street life. We spoke about the risks, the consequences, and why the next generation needs to understand what’s truly at stake.

My appreciation to Jonathan for giving me the space to speak in my own words. If sharing my experiences makes someone think twice before risking their freedom and future, this conversation has served a purpose.

So many tough conversations happened in this full episode with @goldinmartinez , but it’s a necessity. We often find out the hard way that the people we love have experienced pain or abuse similar to what we’ve faced ourselves. That doesn’t justify it, but it can sometimes bring clarity to a difficult situation.

If you want to see this raw episode, it’s up exclusively on the Jon Conyers Network YouTube channel. Link in bio.
