Absolutely honoured to have @echonomist_music rework „God Is Lonelier,“ which was just released. Here’s what the maestro himself says about the remix:

„I worked on this remix while touring across the US and Mexico, with most of it coming together in a friend’s studio in LA. It feels like the soundtrack to all those long drives, flights and quiet hours between shows. Spending so much time on the road, away from home, made the whole process feel even more emotional, and I think that naturally found its way into the remix.“

PROTOMENSCH Album Track x Track:

10. God Is Lonelier (ft. @iamlaius )

We play God by day. We manifest, optimise, visualise. We win awards and update LinkedIn profiles. But at night, who’s listening? Tell me king - after your third consecutive regional car salesman of the year trophy, who do you pray to now?

Completely humbled and honoured to have won our 2nd MPEG award for studio of the year!! 🤯❤️‍🔥🎉

Massive thankyou to our dear friends at @mpeguild - we love you guys so much and are so grateful for this 🥹❤️

We are so proud of our studio but even more so of our community. It’s truly the people in the building that make this place feel like home.

We’ve admired @woodesmusic work ever since first hearing her voice when she was working in the studio next to ours with @thekitestringtangle . We instantly fell in love with her music - the way cinematic elements meet that angelic vocal tone.

When we started sketching the early musical ideas for “Always You,” we knew it was the right song for her straight away. The track was written between Australia and LA, largely over WhatsApp. It might sound disjointed on paper, but the moment we heard the first mumble take, we knew it was going to be a special one.

“God Is Lonelier” was always meant to be on the album, but the early instrumental was too maximalist. Too many melodies and ideas fighting for space.

@iamlaius voice, paired with the depth and darkness of his lyrics, became the glue that held it together. The contrast between his soft, vulnerable verses and his belting chorus gave the track its musical identity.

The phrase “God Is Lonelier” came from a completely unintentional moment in the session, a melodic mumble take over the instrumental that instantly resonated with all of us. It was the moment “random snippet5.mp3” finally turned into something with real meaning, depth, and weight.

‘God Is Lonelier’ ft. @iamlaius is featured on Electronic Rising and a bunch of New Music Fridays 🙌 Thank you @spotify !

It’s safe to say we’re now pretty much on the same level as Bruno Mars 👀
