The members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Tau Tau Omega Chapter, joined our Southern California Cluster Sisters for “LeadHERship: The Power of Champions!”

From meaningful fellowship to impactful conversations, we were reminded of the power of sisterhood and our shared commitment to service.

We were also proud to support the 1908 Acts of Dignity initiative, benefiting the LAUSD Homelessness Education Office and Foster Youth Achievement Program.

Thank you to our Cluster Coordinators and host chapter, Mu Lambda Omega, for an inspiring experience!

Tau Tau Omega was proud to host this year’s GREENwell weekend, and we were thrilled to serve alongside the chapters who showed up, showed out, and cleaned up our communities on International Coastal cleanup day 🌊💚

Together, we served.

Together, we made an impact.

And trust us… this is only the beginning. 👀

The full GREENwell recap is coming soon - wait til you see what we did TOGETHER!

Yesterday was more than our first event. It was the beginning of a vision our founder has carried in her heart for a long time. 💛

The Heavy on the Healing Foundation officially stepped into service with our first Sunday Dinner under our Healing with Dignity platform. Watching this vision become a reality was a moment we’ll never forget.

Healing with Dignity is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, cared for, and supported with compassion and respect. Yesterday, we put that belief into action by providing meals, essential items, and a reminder that community care can be given with both love and dignity.

We are incredibly grateful for every person who donated, volunteered, shared our posts, purchased something from our wish list, or simply believed in our mission. Every contribution helped make our very first event possible.

Our first event is officially in the books, but this is only the beginning. 🌱 Through Healing with Dignity and our other foundation initiatives, we will continue showing up, serving with intention, and creating opportunities to help our communities heal and blossom.

First event. First impact. The beginning of something much bigger.

Heavy on the healing. Heavy on the love. Heavy on the service. 🤎

Introducing the Heavy on the Healing Foundation. 💜💛🩷

What started as a message about choosing healing, caring for ourselves, and creating space to grow is now expanding into something bigger—an opportunity to pour that same care back into our communities.

Through our foundation initiatives, we hope to support mental health, community care, youth empowerment, women, health and wellness, education, social justice, and other needs as they arise.

We are just getting started, and I’m excited to see how this vision continues to blossom. 🌱

Follow @heavyonthehealingfoundation for upcoming service opportunities, donation needs, community events, and ways you can help us grow, serve, and make an impact.

Heavy on the Healing is becoming more than a message. It’s becoming a movement. 💜💛🩷

Sisters, let’s talk about it. 💚🩷

While this may be a trend, let’s continue to answer the call.

With such a rich legacy to carry, we remain committed to staying the course, building on a firm foundation, and ensuring that the generations to come inherit a sisterhood that is even stronger than the one we were blessed to receive.

May we continue to answer the call to Service to All Mankind, do the work with excellence, and stay pretty while doing it. ✨💚🩷

Tau Tau Omega believes that today’s investment creates tomorrow’s leaders. One of the ways we prepare our members for chapter leadership is by encouraging participation in regional and international conferences, where they gain knowledge, build meaningful connections, and develop the skills needed to lead with excellence.

Because leadership grows through shared experiences—and there’s no better way to learn than alongside your sisters! From inspiring workshops to unforgettable laughs and lasting memories, every conference is another opportunity to grow together while having a little fun along the way.

One of the reasons I share my yoga journey is because I want you to see the process—not just the polished pose.

I want you to see the wobbles, the adjustments, the moments when I fall out of balance, and the years of simply showing up and trying. Yoga is not about being flexible. In fact, some of the most flexible people don’t practice yoga at all.

To me, yoga is the willingness to explore. It’s trying when you don’t have all the answers. It’s approaching yourself with an open mind and moving without expectations, judgment, or comparison.

Every pose I can do today was once a pose I couldn’t do. Every moment of strength was built through practice, patience, and curiosity.

I want yoga to feel personal. I want you to see yourself somewhere in the process. Because yoga isn’t about becoming someone else—it’s about becoming more connected to yourself.

The practice begins the moment you decide to show up exactly as you are.
