Trusting The Journey ✨☕️

Stepping into this space and visualizing my coffee shop, surreal! But also knowing that if God ain’t in it, it’s a not for me, was such a moment for me.

Spiritual girlie NOT a religious girlie 😜

The old me would just leap, make it work and deal with whatever comes. But evolved MJ is like let’s make the right decision the first time. Because YES there were things I didn’t necessarily like but we could’ve made it work. But God said “nah I love you so much I’m never gonna let you get into something that’s not good.” 🥹

I share this because sometimes it’s disappointing + discouraging when it LOOKS like it’s happening for everyone but you, but sometimes you can’t truly see a thing until you step into it.

So I trust God always makes room for me, the perfect space will come and in the meantime I’ll continue poppin up, building this brewing community, one latte at a time.

Last year I took my very first Barista 101 class with @crumbncream at @joyworthyco in #downtownraleigh and had the best time.

What started as me being a certified caffeine queen turned into a full-on “baddie barista era” moment.

A whole year later and the alignment is so real. I’m forever grateful for that class, for the lessons, for the pour-overs and the messy latte art… because now?

I’m officially a mobile coffee cart owner — and actively manifesting the Balanced & Brewed storefront.

Truth is, I have no clue what I’m doing…

But one thing about me, I will always figure it out. But first, I had to surrender. Spiritual baddie not a religious baddie. When God gave me the nudge to lean into my coffee owner dreams, made no sense to me, fast forward months later, I’m a self taught barista, I’ve worked with some amazing brands and still blossoming + blooming.

This is your sign to do it anyway, especially if you’re being divinely guided.

Hustle + Heart Set Me Apart

We tend to see the highlights but forget there was a journey to get to the highlights. I was overwhelmed, tired and second guessing myself, I’m no barista I kept telling myself.

But I pushed forward anyway!

Okayyy this has to be my top 5 fav websites ever designed but sheeshhhh😭😭 Michelle needed a website that could hold all of her—the coach, the storyteller, the community leader, and the wellness baddie. Something modern but mystical, sacred but vibrant. She also needed a place for her new offerings, her growing audience, and a community hub that felt like home🫶🏽
