Happy Friday!

This enhanced version of The Perfect 10 is sure to kick off your weekend in the best way- calm, balanced, collected and connected.

Make sure you get 10 big diaphragmatic breaths in before your full lung breath hold.

*If you don’t know how to breathe from your diaphragm for now, don’t worry, 10 full lung breaths will do.

Make sure that you’re not driving and have a minute after breathing to take in the feelings and sensations.

I love the sound of waves washing over the rocks and then pulling them back towards the ocean. It’s cathartic for me.

Close your eyes.

Inhale slowly through your nose for 10 seconds completely filling up your lungs.
Hold your breath for 10 seconds.
Release through your nose for 10 seconds with a hum.
Repeat this 3 times.

Then just take a minute to put a prayer up, intention out, or just be grateful for your life and what you have.

*Don’t do while driving!

A huge thanks to Kimberly for hosting my first group breathwork session in Chicago at The Publishing House and everyone who came to experience the power of their breath.

It was the perfect space for our Relax & Reset session.

I look forward to coming back in December!

Throw back with a purpose.

I am posting this to wish Star Trek a Happy 60th. My mother and my Auntie are part of why i love scifi and fantasy so much. My mother would put on reruns of the original Star Trek while she made dinner after work, and we fell in love w/the Next Gen together. I am grateful.for the legacy of the world's created and vision of what might be possible, and for a future that included people who looked like me. The show gave little Black girl.with a very big imagination hope.

Having a beer with my good friend Reggie Brown in Malibu, California. Reggie is an Emmy award-winning actor, and he is the number one Barack Obama impersonator in the world, he travels the world for different events playing the president! You’ve seen him in the movies “Barber Shop 3, and “War Machine” and many television shows. Reggie and I have been friends for a lot of years. We now have one more thing in common, we have both done scenes with Brad Pitt in a motion picture LOL! I was lucky enough to work with Brad on the Movie Heart of The Beast, and Reggie played President Obama with Brad in the movie War Machine. It was great to see you Reggie! #germanshepherd #heartofthebeast #movie
