If you ever have the opportunity to see @wardruna live, 10/10 it’s an incredible experience and you have to do it! This has been my favorite live show in a while!! It’s an epic aural and visual phenomenon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #concertclub

Some snaps from last Saturday when we gathered to celebrate the life of our late friend Jon Eds. It was great to see everyone, reconnect with amazing people I haven’t seen in a while, share some memories, and meet some of Jon’s fam. We lost a real one. He will be deeply missed. Thanks to Rob for organizing. “Only love has power over lovers. Death has none. The beloved is giving as he appears to take away. Breath diminishes as spirit flows stronger, a falcon released to the wind.” -Rumi

The call of the small.
When we first started dating, in our Moonage daydream, we dreamt of a little mountaintop cabin to escape to — a place to breathe deep, slow down, and reconnect.

In 2022, the Red Cabin Retreat was our dream realized. We heard the call of the Smallwood hamlet upon first arrival. It chose us. At the start, we had some wild repairs and stepped away and had a full time renter take over, but then..

In 2025 We had to take it back.
We leaned into the crazy obstacles we faced, after lots of conversations, planning, putting in love, putting in plants and just being alone in nature with our thoughts, we decided to open the doors to our getaway again so that others can feel what we feel when we are on our mountaintop cliff. Stare out the window of the sauna into the woods and you will get it too.

We’re excited to share this space — and everything we love about exploring the foothills of the Western Catskills: the food, the art, the hikes, the waterways, the curated shops, the peace (and scent) that comes with being close to the tall pine trees. Deep breaths.
Follow along, book a stay, or just be part of the story.

XOXO- Robert & Kelly

Tomorrow is our first day of our ecotherapy retreat! We loved working in the rain today and can’t wait to have a magical time on the grounds of @thehighlandsmansion! (There’s still a couple spots for the teen retreat in August.) #teenretreat #ecotherapylove #goattherapy #magicalmansion #horticulturaltherapy #teencounseling #naturetherapy
