🎹 Downtown Alive Featuring Randomonium and local artists in our Arts After Dark tonight, Thursday, August 20

Join us for an evening of art and live music with Randomonium at Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive!

📅 Thursday, August 20
📍 NOMA Square | Downtown Greenville, SC
🕠 5:30–8:30 PM
💸 FREE Admission

Randomonium is a Greenville, South Carolina-based variety and cover band founded in 2015. Their high-energy, interactive shows move across decades and genres, from classic rock and ‘80s pop to ‘90s alternative, country, funk, and current favorites, often with unexpected mashups and playful instruments like kazoo, keytar, and recorder.

And remember, just by showing up, you’re supporting the Metropolitan Arts Council. Downtown Alive is MAC’s largest fundraiser, helping support local artists, arts education, and creative programs throughout our community.

✨ Great music. Great community. Great cause. See you in NOMA Square!

And just like that, the 2026 One Word Poetry Festival comes to a close. 🎤✨
Our Poetry Slam was the perfect finale to an incredible weekend, bringing together some of the most talented poets from across the Carolinas to share their stories, truth, creativity, and passion on one stage.
Thank you to every poet who performed, every volunteer who helped make this festival possible, and every audience member who showed up to support the arts and spoken word community. Your energy, encouragement, and presence made this weekend unforgettable.
Until next year, keep writing, keep creating, and keep speaking your truth. See you next year❤️

I’m so grateful to @kimberlyjsimms and @witsendpoetry for selecting my poem, “And God Said to Greenville,” for the very first GVL Poetry Trail!

It was a delight to read at @artisphere alongside my friends @chelsea.fraser.writes and @iamshayblack as well as many new friends.

You can read all 13 winning poems at gvlpoetrytrail.com.

And starting next month, there will be rotating physical trail markers of the poems set up all around Greenville! Stay tuned. 👀
