“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
- 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

8 stages. 117 cops. One goal — get better. 🚔🔥

@battleofthebadges_official_ at Palm Bay PD Range was one hell of a day.

This LEO-only match is about getting cops into competition, pushing them outside their comfort zone, and showing them how much competition can sharpen their skills.

Finished 17 Overall out of 117 shooters

Could I have been higher? Absolutely. I let my mindset slip on a couple stages, and I know better. That one’s on me. 🤷‍♂️

But honestly, the coolest part was watching 117 cops push themselves, learn, compete, and get better.

That’s what this is about.

Shoot more. Push yourself. Get better.

Already looking forward to next year. 🇺🇸

STACK DIFFICULTY.

Implementing hit-factor scoring into law enforcement qualifications and training is one of the best ways to challenge officers to balance speed, accuracy, and accountability.

Once the standard get harder and things become competitive, you start to see what guys are really capable of.

And that’s when things get fun.

Raise the standard. Stack difficulty. Always forward.

Starting and ending in the same firing position.

Working distance, timing, and movement while getting the heart rate up.

A mistake was made along the way. Made it back to the ATV shooting position with a dry rifle, worked through the problem, and immediately transitioned to the pistol to finish the drill.

The lesson: Stay composed, work through problems, and adapt without hesitation.

Building confidence with both rifle and pistol at varying distances, while learning to manage problems on the move.

No pause. No timeout. Just learning, adapting, and getting better.

Stay Forward ♠️

7 total hours of driving and 8 hours of running reps in the shoot house. It’s been a long day but this is what being a supervisor is all about! Allowing your people to get training, supplying what resources you can, and showing up to support them.

Don’t be a boss who sits in the back and barks orders. Be a leader who works from the front and pushes for change!

Last week I was blessed to travel to the 336 and help deliver some training to the High Point PD SWAT team. Obviously that part of the state is near and dear to my heart, and being able to get back up there and train officers that are serving there is a special experience.

It was hot, but the team’s carbine skills were hotter. Vibes were immaculate. Dudes shooting and giving each other a REALLY hard time. What more could you ask for in a training day?

I still think it’s so cool that @ibxtactical_ lets me be a part of this thing!
