I did build me. I took effort. I had to grow through a lot to get to where I am today and as proud as I am I can honestly say I’m just getting started and I’ve still got a lot more growing and loving to do.

I’ve been hurt and I hurt, I’ve invested in the wrong places and the wrong people, I’ve misread the signs and made wrong friends. And then at my worst I had to pick myself up because I knew this wouldn’t be the last time I’d have to take care of me. I had to learn to depend on myself and to trust myself to take care of me. And I got back up, let go of the pain and those who didn’t and couldn’t love or handle me. I made new friends. I built a career and invested in my future and knowledge. I invested in my hobbies, embraced my flaws, and weirdness and I love who I am because I am different and I’ve never met anyone like me, and that’s good, we all need to be different. We all ARE different.

At a time when others spoke of my life decisions as if it were general information, I was too busy picking up the pieces and making my own fate. At a time when I was bullied by co-workers who were twice my age and taken on guilt trips over matters that I should’ve never been responsible for, I was making a backbone that would never break again but hardly bend.
I’ll never give up on myself. I’ll never settle for the sake of fake happiness or fake love. I’ll never settle and I’ll always push myself and those around me to keep up and get better. Why? Because I built me and this is the way God made me.

We all underestimate the word “Family”.
It carries a lot of meanings and feelings, without our families we are lost. They are always the safest zone in our life, at the end of the day you go home and then you feel okay, you feel satisfied. They support us by all what they have, they can’t leave you sad, they can talk to people about you with passion in their eyes and how they are proud of you. The endless sharing of success, happiness, conversations and saddest moments make the bond go stronger with our families. Don’t ever underestimate the feeling of having a family. Go and tell them how much they are mean to you before they gone and before losing the peace of having a family.

So true. When people ask me how do I find my passion I always say.. pay attention to what you love to know more about, what you are naturally curious to know more of, if you could do anything and be anyone, who would that be.

Most of your followers know that you’re passionate about fashion, blogging, writing, and journalism. Can you tell us one thing that people might not know about you?

I’m an introvert—a very closed up introvert. That’s something people don’t know about me, they think I’m an extrovert. If you take me to places full of people, I’ll deal with the situation. But it drains me, I won’t be happy there. I like to deal with one person at a time.

Independence is not:
- having to live alone
- loving no one but oneself - acting like you need nobody else in your life
- shutting people out who just want to love you
- financial stability
- quitting just because you can
- replacing irreplaceable things and people.
Independence is:
- knowing that you can survive emotionally, mentally and physically despite anything life throws at you.
- Relying on yourself when there’s no one around to heal the pain or celebrate the success
- Understanding that a true relationship will require two independent beings, both complete without each other but so much more exquisite when with one another because love is magic when reflected right.

Until today, women bully each other. Some women bully each other no matter how old or how mature they’ve supposedly become.
I myself still experience cyber bullying one way or another. But my tolerance level is at ZERO and my response is sharp.
But my question is “why”? Why do some women still bully other women? Is it because they think they have a reason? Is it because they have insecurities? Is it because they weren’t brought up with enough love and nurture to know better? Is it them portraying unto others what has and is being done unto them? Could it be all of the above? Perhaps.
Cyber bullying is still alive and well. Kicking at us all differently on a regular basis. Bullying takes all sort of shapes and sizes. I usually get harassed and people get mad at me and sent me nasty messages if I don’t respond to them quickly enough or if I don’t follow them back. I’m used to them following and unfollowing me, I’ve just lost interest. Some women will stalk you but never support you or say a nice of kind word to you or of you. Some women will say nice things to your face and then mistakenly send you harsh messages about you that they were initially sending to friends. Some women will bully you by criticizing what you and some will try to benifit from you without offering back any support or recognition. They’ll ask for things they’ll never, out of courtesy show you in return. Some women will only follow you for gossip, some will only like photos you post of you husband, fiancé, boyfriend or even brother. And that’s them saying they’re not interested in your own content images. There’s a social etiquette, rules and guidelines to using social media. It’s a world of its own and we must learn how it can affect us positively and negatively. Little things can hurt our feelings or burn bridges in seconds. We are quick to be mean, judgemental and aggressive. Why?
I’ve made mistakes, sometimes I misjudged people. But I’ve learned to give chances as much as I’ve learned to trust my instincts. I’ve learned to apologize but to cut people out if I need to. I’m against any sort of bullying.

I want women to be free with how they portray themselves but above all I want them to be honest. I love fashion so I always want that element in my shoots and my style, but I’m also becoming more obsessed with natural beauty. I want women to look at my photos and say “I can totally pull this look off, and look just as good or even better!” We can’t do it all. We are not perfect and our photos should resemble who we are and not a fake social version of ourselves.
