I was exploring all the features of the Tiptop Buchla Source of Uncertainty and then decided to have some fun. I recorded bubble wrap popping and a few percussion sounds into the Arbhar and randomly switched between sounds with the Buchla module. Enjoy!!! 😎🎶✨️😊

Do you ever wake up with a thought in your head like something from Inception? Today I woke up with the idea of creating spinning hexagons in space, so I started noodling in @touchdesigner to see what this would lead to. Enjoy!!! ✨️🎶🌌❄️

Just some casual space whales enjoying a day out over an ice planet! This is a sliver of a clip from my first fulldome immersive short film "Flight of the Space Beluga". I recorded the sounds during whale watching near Churchill in Northern Canada. All the animations were done in @touchdesigner 🐳🌌✨️❄️

Here's a sneak peek from my very first fulldome short film that I just completed called "Flight of the Space Beluga". I made it as my first full @retinalacoustics project using @touchdesigner for all the the visuals and my beluga whale recordings from last year's trip up to northern Canada for sections of the soundscape. A HUGE thanks to @jonathanong77 from Sydney, Australia for narrating the prologue. This project was very challenging and stretched my mind and creative skills. Stay tuned over the upcoming months for more updates!!! 🐳✨️🎶🎉

A screenshot from an animation I made in @touchdesigner for my fulldome short film with space belugas flying over an ice world with the sky full of aurora. All to some @moogsynthesizers Grandmother arpeggiation!!! I'm almost done. 😁🐳🚀🌌

This is my first time previewing a visual I'm working on for my first immersive fulldome short film. It's an audio-reactive visual that I made in @touchdesigner ✨️🎶🌌 The preview software is Festoon and it's cool you can sit in different seats inside the dome to see how it looks from various perspectives!

Thanks to @edlantz for his telling me about his experience with previewing immersive fulldome videos.

Enjoy!

Today I watched a brilliant planetarium film by Philippe Baylaucq called "Worlds of Ice". It's right up my alley. 🧊😄 I loved its use of the entire dome. I'm learning little tips and ideas for my first immersive media films by watching other fulldome films. It's an awesome film if you get a chance to view it at a local planetarium/dome! ❄️❄️❄️

Big thanks to @ali.horne for showing us around the Isle of Skye today. ⛰️🌧✨️ It was a misty and mysterious wonderland. I saw everything from rugged mountains and waterfalls cascading off cliffs into the sea, to baby seals hanging out with their parents, and a strange rotating 2.7 ton pebble. Also at suppertime at a restaurant in Portree I discovered this music from a local band from Skye called @peatbogfaeries that is a fantastic fusion of traditional Scottish music with modern grooves!!! 😎🎶💯

I'm a flatlander, so hills are challenging. Thanks @kelanrooney for letting me know about Calton Hill, which is a very doable walk! Also the @chocolatarium "Tour of Chocolate" is amazing - a real gem in Edinburgh. You learn how chocolate is made, get to make your own concoction, and taste all kinds of interesting blends. @ericheitmanncomposer version of "A Gift of a Thistle" from Braveheart seemed like an epic pairing for my day on foot. ⛰️🎶✨️

Only a few more days! If you're around Washington DC this weekend (June 3rd and 4th) come check out the @soundscenefest at the Smithsonian's Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. Huge thanks to @tangent_universes and Peter Green for curating and bringing to life the sound art installation "Brittle Geometries / Delicate Feedbacks" which delves into how climate change is impacting the world's glaciers and what can be done to "rewind" or slow the effect. There will be hands-on tape loops playing glacier sounds from global explorers along with a series of graphic scores which describe the sounds of these glaciers from all over the world!

I'm humbled and thrilled to be collaborating with such a fantastic group of sonic explorers. 🙏🎶🗻❄️✨️

3 minutes of sonic explorations... only 1 rule - I'm feeling inter-Atlantic today, so use only sounds/sound sources from the UK. So here I used @decadebridge Bora for the gnarly drone, @spitfireaudio piano pitched up in the @instruomodular Arbhar, which was triggered when the @robotmammal Noisebox exceeded a certain level threshold. 🤔 🎶🤓
