You’ve got about 10 to 20 seconds. That’s how long a visitor takes to decide whether to stay on your website or leave. Your hero canvas carries a lot of weight, so we pulled three opening screen formats from Showit designers that you can borrow today. 1. The Book Cover
Give them enough information without giving everything away. A peek at your portfolio, a line about who you are, and a clear CTA. In seconds, visitors can tell whether they love your work and whether they could actually work with you. (@sister.trees.studio) 2. Canvas Blending

Okay, I can FINALLY share this... My old website did its job. But along the way, my business outgrew it. So my website got a full makeover and I am genuinely obsessed with how it turned out. I was very picky about this project. Like, probably annoyingly picky. 😅 I had a lot of ideas, a lot of opinions, and a very clear vision of what I wanted the site to feel like. The team at @ideactionconsulting was incredible through all of it. They helped with everything from strategy and copy to design, while still making space for my ideas and collaborating with me every step of the way. Still thinking about our second event of the year ✨ What an evening our community had together for connection, conversation, and inspiration. Sam said so many thought-provoking things in an hour - without a doubt, everyone walked away with so many takeaways. SO grateful to have had him in Nashville for the night! Six events. Five States. More miles than I planned and two flat tires I didn’t. WIPA has been pulling together some of the sharpest minds in the business — and I’ve been showing up, taking notes, and embracing the lessons in the unexpected. What I found wasn’t just education. It was a reminder of why this industry, at its best, is still deeply human. And somewhere between Boston and Nashville, I reminded myself that I’m not measuring any of this in dollars. The return I’m after is relational. The kind that compounds quietly over years in shared experiences and friendships that genuinely solidify over oceans and state lines. Luxury, I’ve decided, isn’t a price point. It’s the feeling you leave someone with. For me that means removing the worry and showing up with calm at every turn — whether I’m behind the lens or in a room full of peers. These slides are a few things I’m still thinking about. Maybe you will be too.
