I’m very happy to have the opportunity to share my story with you all! Feeling very grateful to have the talented team at @ideastreamneo cover the story of Tahanan! (Links to the original story in bio) What started as a small side project of mine has turned into a global movement of Filipinos reconnecting with their roots, and I’m overwhelmed with the response and support from everyone online. Not a day goes by without me thinking about the impact on learners using my app and the growing team at Tahanan. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting Tahanan, and trusting me with their learning journey. I’m just one guy who started building this app in my messy basement about a year ago, but now I’m leading a small remote team working as hard as I can to bring this to as many people as possible, grow to as many Filipino languages as I can, and spreading the mission far and wide. Tahanan has completely changed the trajectory of my life, introduced new challenges and new people, forced me to grow in ways I had never even considered possible. I’ve never worked harder in my life, but I don’t even care bc this feels like play to me. It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride! Thank you to my friends & family that always support me, ask me how my work is going, put up with my manic rants about my vision for the company, accept my excuses when I flake on plans bc my work gets in the way, and share my app to every Filipino they bump into lol. Thank you to all my partners and creators that have helped me spread the mission of Tahanan online. Thank you to my amazing team of artists & educators at Tahanan. Thank you to my incredible mom who birthed me and inspired this entire thing from the very start. I’m feeling emotional and blabbering now, but thank you for reading this. Mahal ko kayo. Maraming salamat sa lahat (I love you all. Thank you so much for everything) ❤️🏡🇵🇭

Midterm election season is upon us, reigniting questions around redistricting and what is classified as gerrymandering.

The Guardians are one game away from elimination in the ALCS after losing their last two games against the Tampa Bay Rays. If the Guardians can manage to win on the road tonight, they’ll need another win in Florida on Tuesday to advance to Game 1 of the World Series, set to be played on Friday. We chat with Joe Posnanski, Author and Sports Journalist as well as Host of “The PosCast,” about what adjustments the guards may need to make.

Rickey Jackson spent nearly 40 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. When Ricky was 18, police coerced a twelve-year old boy into fraudulently naming him as a murderer. After initially being placed on death row, Rickey was finally exonerated in 2014, and his story has been documented in the recently-released documentary, ‘Lovely Jackson.’ Today we have the Cleveland native on the show to talk to us about his story.
