Everytime I attempt to make red velvet cookies they turn out looking like chocolate cookies! But that’s okay because they are still delicious. I used @identicalrecipes recipe for the cookies and then I did a cream cheese icing. They were super tasty despite not being perfect! 🍪❤️

Would you try these viral cookies?🍋🍪

These lemon blueberry cheesecake cookies are sweet, tangy, and so soft inside. I tried this viral recipe step by step and gave it my honest rating—worth the hype or not?

Recipes ⬇️

Ingredients

For the Cookie Dough:
• 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
• 2 tsp lemon extract
• 2 ⅓ cups (290g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp baking powder
• Pinch of salt
• 1 ½ cups frozen blueberries

For the Cream Cheese Filling:
• 1 cup (225g) cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
• 1 tsp lemon extract

Optional Topping:
• Powdered sugar, for dusting
• Extra cream cheese filling, for garnish

Instructions

Filling:
• In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon extract until smooth and creamy.
• Scoop out 1-tablespoon portions, roll into balls, and place on a parchment-lined tray.
• Refrigerate for 1–2 hours (or freeze while making the dough).

Cookie Dough:
• In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter for 3–5 minutes until pale and creamy.
• Add granulated sugar and beat again until light and fluffy.
• Mix in the lemon extract.
• Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
• Mix on low speed or with a spatula until combined.
• Add the frozen blueberries and mix until the dough turns purple and sticky.
• Cover the dough and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.

• Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
• Scoop about ⅓ cup of dough, flatten it slightly, and place one chilled cream cheese ball in the center.
• Wrap the dough around the filling, sealing the edges. Place on the baking tray, leaving space between cookies.
• Bake for 10–11 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
• Allow cookies to cool on the tray for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

• Dust with powdered sugar and add a small swirl of cream cheese filling on top if desired.
• Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days.
