My group members for a reason ✨

Proudly an assistant group leader 😊

Different minds. One goal. Changing the narrative of agriculture.

Because farming is not just what we do, it's how we create impact

Day 1 of Farm Year

Today, I learnt that cattle farming involves more than just raising animals. There are beef cattle for meat production, dairy cattle for milk production, and dual-purpose cattle for both.

I also learnt about the different housing systems (extensive, intensive, and semi-intensive), feeding methods, including hay, silage, and direct feeding, as well as daily management practices such as sanitation, culling, castration, dehorning, and disbudding.

Every activity has its purpose, from providing proper nutrition to maintaining the animals' health and productivity.

One day at a time, one lesson at a time.

Guys, we’re starting a new phase! ❤️

As an agricultural student, it’s time to move beyond the classroom and get our hands dirty (literally 😂).

My farm year journey has officially begun, and I’m excited to learn, unlearn, gain practical experience, and grow through this process.

I’ll be documenting my hands-on experiences, the lessons, the challenges, and everything in between.

So, come along with me! 🤗❤️

Let’s learn, grow, and experience this season together.

Welcome to my farm year journey

FROM CLASSROOM TO FARMLAND
My Group first day and first week on farm was and will be at the screen house/ Soil Science Lab Unit.
Today, we learnt something about what the screen house is for and also what does soil science do

Screen house is majorly for planting Vegetables whether Fruity or Leafy Vegetable and the importance of consuming the vegetable
As you can see we do the bedding, rake all the coloured and dry grasses, then we planted a cucumber [DARINA F1 variety ] because of its very green colour with a row spacing of about 15cm and on each bed we have two rows, it will start sprouting after 3 to 4 days of planting then we are going to do the stacking

We also learn about difference between stacking, stalking and stocking
This is cucumber 🥒, we also clear the other segment inside the screen house for pepper 🌶, we harvested few vegetables especially Jute

Watch me as I grow and watch me growing crops
