Earlier this month I went down to the finger piers and took some photos of the Provincetown skyline. It was pretty grey, but just as the sun began to set, a break appeared on the horizon. 10.1.26.

ALSO: Programming Note. We leave tomorrow evening for two weeks in France and Spain (this is the 426th and final installment of my 50th birthday celebration). So, I’ll be posting much less for a couple of weeks, and you might see non-Provincetown things now and then.

Here are some shots of Clapps Pond and the surrounding area. The leaves are looking good! These were taken an hour or so before a rainstorm started. The sky was heavy and the light was a little eerie at times. 10.11.26.

Sunday flowers 🌸✨

A little throwback to a beautiful summer visit to Berkshire Botanical Garden.

There is something so special about walking through these gardens — the thoughtfully designed plantings, winding paths, and little surprises around every corner make it such a lovely place to spend an afternoon.

During my visit, the garden was featuring “Grand Gesture: Monumental Vessels in the Garden,” with stunning terracotta vessels by Vermont ceramic artist Stephen Procter. Seeing these large-scale pieces woven throughout the landscape created such a beautiful connection between art and nature.

One of the best parts is that you can pick up a snack from the gift shop when you purchase your ticket and enjoy it while exploring the grounds. Finding a quiet spot to sit, take in the views, and enjoy a little picnic surrounded by flowers is the perfect way to slow down and enjoy the garden. 🌿
