This is my first time meeting an online friend, especially from another country! Igor visited Thessaloniki, Greece with an agency and we got to meet in the city centre! I showed him a bookshop with both Greek and English books and he ended up buying four 📚
We exchanged some gifts, he gave me his signed book with his poems and I gave him some copies from my drawings and some bookmarks I make to him🔖
We also had some drinks in a cafe bar near the harbour and we talked about many things. It was really fun 🌙 I am so happy to meet kind people and especially online friends who support me so much!

I'm a little nervous because I haven't shared poetry like this before. As a poet you're always nervous or a little shy before you share your work. I hope everyone enjoys the poem and remembers that no matter the shade of your eye it is beautiful because God gave them to you. ❤️

The Poetry Exchange August- Scars 🎨

So thrilled to be back for this months poetry exchange! I wanted to take the scars prompt and *paint* something entirely different.

As always, the biggest thank you and shout out to @thistooisholy , who not only is an immensely talented writer, but beautiful human in general.

To my poetry pals, @m3lvintopg and @igor_the_writer you are amazing! it’s been a pleasure reading your work.

As always, let me know your thoughts, feelings, deepest secrets in the comments 😉

With love,
-Rosia 🤍

🛑 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄! 🛑

You know what time it isssss! 🖤

6 𝘔𝘖𝘕𝘛𝘏𝘚𝘚𝘚𝘚 𝘰𝘧 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐬!

(Okay, okay... this is the 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 6-month self-celebration. Promise. 😂 Although this also marks my 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮, 𝘴𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘺... 𝘺𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘦.)

Moving right along—and 𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲—to the fantastic lineup we have this month!

𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:

𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐒, 𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐘𝐘𝐘𝐘𝐘! 🎉
A graveyard walker. 🪦
A non-coffee drinker. (I know. I'm confused too.) ☕
A crossword puzzler. 🧩
𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘦𝘦𝘦!

These writers show up.
They comment.
They laugh.
They DM.
They get to know you.
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟𝐟.

This still isn’t a “best of.”
It’s not a ranking.
It’s not a spotlight competition.
And it’s definitely not in any specific order.

It’s presence.
It’s consistency.
It’s community.

My own two god-tiers?

𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.

Take a minute to explore their pages. Follow them. Hype them up. Get to know the humans behind the words.

Which answer made you pause?

Which one made you think, “okay... same”?

Different countries. Different continents.
Different lives.

Same heartbeat.

Grateful for each of you who keeps sharing space here. 🖤

June Poetry Exchange 🥳🎉

This one, like most of the ones that have come before it, is inspired by grief and pain that feels murkier and all-consuming the more time passes 😭.

My penpals this month were @igor_the_writer and @rituals.of.jasminerose. You should probably take them out 🤗

And as always, the prompt is by @thistooisholy. My participation has become ritualistic at this point 😅. It's keeping me sane and grounded 🥹.

The image is modified, but the original is from Pinterest by Debbie Bender

My contribution to @thistooisholy's May poetry exchange! This month's prompt was BLOOD so I decided to do a blood red blackout poem. It takes a biblical passage about Christ's blood sacrifice and rewrites it from the Devil's perspective.

Special thanks to my penpal for this challenge, @igor_the_writer!

My offering for day six of NaPoWriMo is a piece I wrote for the poetry exchange, hosted by @thistooisholy and is inspired by the exploration of breath. What came up first for me was life and death, and how the breath is the foundational element. Which led to fight or flight, and how we manage both of our responses. I finally settled on one of the best tools I know to use whenever I feel frantic. Thank you to my poetry pen pal @igor_the_writer for creating space for the generative conversation that led to this. I hope you also find that it resonates. #poetryexchange #femalepoetsofinstagram #boxbreathing #takeabreath #itisgoingtobeok

a story that once lived quietly in my heart and is slowly becoming a book.
