Every person I celebrated with, every birthday wish, every call, every prayer, and every speech spoken over dinner was such a gift. God has been so gracious in surrounding me with people who love, encourage, and walk alongside me. I pray I steward each one of you with the same intentionality, love, and grace that you’ve all shown me. My heart is full, thank you for making 25 so special

$Hi everyone, this is Isabelle (Shannon’s middle daughter) I wanted to share an update on my mom🙏🏼 Many of you have been walking with us since her original breast cancer diagnosis in 2019. Since then, she has fought so hard—through radiation, hospital stays, complications, and cancer spreading to different areas including her bones, spine, liver, and more recently even further. She’s endured so much physically, including fractures, intense pain, and countless treatments, and she has faced it all with so much strength and perseverance. She also pursued treatments in Mexico, went through immunotherapy, hormone therapy, and so many other approaches over the years. Some things helped for a time, but nothing has been able to stop how aggressive this has become. Recently, her body has been struggling more, especially with low blood counts and needing transfusions, and treatment is no longer improving her quality of life. After a lot of prayer and conversations, we’ve made the decision to begin hospice care. Right now, our focus is on keeping her comfortable, at peace, and surrounded by love. If you know my mom, you know how deeply she loves people. She isn’t able to be on her phone right now, but if you’d like to send messages, I will read them to her.
