The Flowers of My Childhood, A body of work about growing up, growing into myself, and finding my way through photography.

Orchids were scattered around our home when I was younger.

They were always there.

Quietly growing in the garden, sitting on balconies, tucked into corners. I never really understood why they caught my attention. I just remember thinking they were beautiful.

They never seemed to rush.

They would bloom, disappear, and bloom again.

As a child, I didn’t think much about it.
I only knew that I liked looking at them.

Now, I think about them differently.

Growing up has taught me that not everything happens when you want it to.

Sometimes, you grow quietly.
Sometimes, you don’t notice it until you look back.

I think photography has been the same for me.

I’m still figuring things out.
Still learning.
Still becoming.

And maybe that’s enough.
