Merry Christmas and a happy new year from our little garden pet the Christmas beetle (Golden Stag)

It's a rare sight to have found these beetles in the wild as the population is declining and they can only be found in Australia. We were very lucky to have it chilling in our backyard! She's a beaut! 😗👌

Our second November special is inspired by the famous Filipino dessert known as Turon!

Turon is caramelised banana wrapped in spring roll pastry, often served with jack fruit. An absolute classic at most of our family gatherings growing up ❤️

Our TURON 2.0 is a yeast raised doughnut, filled with dulce de leche, banana cream, topped with pastry shards and banana brûlée.

Available in-store and online til the end of this month!

Story time.. TWO YEARS AGO, @albin.lawang a Melbourne-based head chef & personal trainer found himself without work due to a reeeeal a*!hole of a pandemic. In the midst of quarantines and lockdowns, Albin felt the need to create. He started messing around with brownies, cookies, protein balls, and eventually.. ARTISAN DOUGHNUTS.

Albin was determined to create the lightest, fluffiest and most unique flavours of doughnuts ever. After countless hours and recipe tweaks, he did the damn thing.

He then enlisted his brothers @arbilawang and @aj.lawang to join him in this passion project, creating photo & video content of the doughnuts, a kick ass website, branded packaging and a fully operational delivery service.

The brothers reached out to their good friend @dannn.soto , owner of the legendary @st.burgs to allow them to produce doughnuts out of his kitchen during their closed hours.

On this day two years ago, the Pecks Road online store went live for the first time ever…

Their full capacity of doughnuts sold out within 24hrs.

Fast forward after various collabs, doughnut specials, pop-ups, a growing team, and a fully-fitted brick & mortar cafe in Caroline Springs.. here we are! Writing up a caption in the third person 😄

Happy low-key 2nd birthday to us. And the story continues..
