I have been the chair of the @coralspringsmoa Board for the past 7 years. Removing admission fees and the relocation of the gallery space to the downtown are two achievements that I am very proud of.

Celebrating the opening of the gallery space with staff and community members was an incredible experience. Our museum director Juliana Forero and her team are hardworking and dedicated.

If you haven't had a chance to go to the new gallery please visit. We have 57 original works from Picasso and Cages and Collages by Janet Gold.

It was such an honor to meet the brilliant duo @algernal and @elegancebratton this summer and preview their outstanding and timely @byanymeansmovie. Tonight we saw it again in its opening weekend. Based on real events, it delves into 1966 Mississippi violence surrounding civil rights and voting rights. If you can see this movie this weekend please do!

What a night on Martha’s Vineyard! ❤️

We had a wonderful preview of @byanymeansmovie , moderated by the incredible @tonyalewislee . So grateful to everyone who came out, shared the room with us, and experienced this film together.

Now it’s almost time for the rest of the world to see it. 💪🏾

BY ANY MEANS — ONLY IN THEATRES SEPTEMBER 4.

And if you can’t wait… previews start September 3. 👀

Get your people together. We’ll see you at the movies. 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️💨🎬 Photos by @ubringmejoi

Thank you Jesus for the women who persist to see your resurrection every morning.

Thank you for showing us that the Love of God is never separated from the women who call you King and Comforter.

Thank you for the first women who proclaimed your resurrection, and all the proclaimers that have followed them.

Multiple women of different languages have spoken this over congregations in which I sat:
"Porque tengo la certeza de que ni la muerte ni la vida, ni los ángeles ni los principados, ni lo presente ni lo futuro, ni los poderes espirituales, ni lo alto ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra criatura podrá separarnos jamás del amor de Dios, manifestado en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor."

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭ESV

Thank you Jesus for seeing me.

What a fun night!

Friendship like this doesn’t just happen, it’s baked over time. Through marriage woes and second chances, bodies that now make noise when we stand up, and children who once clung to us and now fly on their own. Through wrinkles that appeared without asking, babies who arrived and changed the rhythm of everything, and parents we loved deeply and eventually had to say goodbye to.

We have laughed until we cried… and yes, laughed until we peed, more times than we care to officially document. We have held each other up on the hard days and celebrated wildly on the good ones. We’ve walked through grief, reinvention, exhaustion, joy, and growth, always together. And somehow, through it all, we loved every minute.

Silly to some but we call our little group the Cake for a reason. Because a cake doesn’t work without the baker, and it doesn’t hold together without every single ingredient. Each one of us brings something essential: sweetness, strength, spice, structure, humor, grace. Take one away, and it never quite makes it to the table. Together? We are rich, layered, imperfect, and absolutely delicious.

If there’s a commune somewhere for lifelong friends, complete with coffee, wine, soft chairs, bad knees, big laughs, and stories we’ve already told a hundred times, we’re ready. Until then, I’m endlessly grateful for this group of women who prove that life, in all its mess and magic, is better when shared. ❤️🍰

Merry Christmas girls.

You donated, we delivered! Thousands of diapers and wipes will now bless our local community. This video doesn’t do it justice just how much was donated. Grateful to our Joyful Resistance community. You don’t just show up, you give too.

Cruelty is always the point of this administration. This tragic removal of a memorial to those who needlessly lost their lives is beyond grotesque. May our collective outrage and grief lead us deeper into community. ❤️
