On Juneteenth we hosted our She is Art event, in collaboration with @indianapolis_cm and @blackgirlsinartspaces. We loved seeing the community come out to hear Amiah Mims, Ashley Nora, and Phyllicia C. talk about Black women’s legacy and influence in the arts.

Thank you to our moderator for the evening, Danicia Monet Malone, and the @tubeartspace for hosting us.

It is an honor to be part of this incredible project, celebrating the lives of 43 Legendary figures of Indianapolis. The mural is featured in the beautiful new Bicentennial Unity Plaza located in downtown Indianapolis, which was just opened to the public yesterday! 🎉 The mural will be finished at the end of September, with a ribbon cutting ceremony planned for early October! More details about the project and ribbon cutting coming soon ✨

The last 4 weeks I’ve been working with @annapmurphy as her apprentice for the Bicentennial Legends Mural series project and it has been quite a ride. 😅 I have learned SO much in such a short period of time and absolutely LOVE working with Anna. She’s truly a gem & beautiful artist and I’m grateful we are paired together. ( Thanks @artscouncilindy )💛 Can’t wait to see more of the magic unfold!

……Stay tuned. 😘
