Congrats to everyone who competed for Royal this weekend at the WKA's. Tournaments are exhausting! It takes more than talent to make it all the way through. It takes a team and a lot of bumps and bruises. Possibly some extra blood, sweat, and tears as well! At the end of the weekend, we walked away with 4 medals: two gold and two bronze. Not bad for having only 6 people compete this year. Joah and Nere get to call themselves top dogs in their weight classes with an amazing display of kickboxing, durability and guts. Thank you to all the coaches that helped, the teammates that made the trip to support the fighters, and the fantastic air-conditioned building where the event was held this year. That really made a difference! Also, my favorite highlight was when Sauce landed a beautiful cartwheel kick, then got yelled at by the ref and judges. What gives, guys?? 😄

We had three warriors compete this past weekend at the ISKA East Coast Championships. Nobody made it to the finals this year, but we had a young group, and they are much better now than they were before. This weekend, the team showed amazing support, and we all had a great time. In the end, that's all that matters. The finals would just be the icing on the cake, but hey it's still pretty sweet.

Success isn't just about the 'W'—it's about the effort, the preparation, and the people standing behind you.
We had a busy night with 3 fighters competing in two different spots. All three lost tough decisions, but they fought like absolute warriors against high-level competition. The amateur level is all about these experiences, and I’m proud of the work they put in this camp.
I also want to personally thank the other coaches for their leadership in the corners last night. Managing two shows at once is no small feat. To our members: thank you for being there for your teammates. That’s what a real gym is about.
Onward and upward.
We don't lose, we learn. Back to work.

MonteJohn is back at it again! That old fight pic does no justice for this young man. John is in incredible shape and has been training nonstop, doing two-a-days day in and day out. Let's gooooo.
