June was a reminder of how much there is to be grateful for. A month filled with celebrating milestones, from 1 year birthdays to 70 years of life, each one a reflection of the beauty of the journey and the gift of another day.

Half of the year is already gone, and I’m learning to look at the months ahead not as a reset, but as space for opportunity, growth, and continued purpose. Growth isn’t just about what we accomplish, it’s about who we become along the way.

I’m thankful for the people God continues to place in my life, the clients who become family, and the opportunity to witness growth, success, and breakthroughs in so many different areas.

One of the greatest blessings is seeing people step into moments they once only imagined, watching dreams become reality, legacies continue, and new opportunities unfold.

June, thank you for the memories, the lessons, the celebrations, and the reminders that life is truly a gift.📈🤍🙌🏽

As we close out June and Men’s Mental Health Month, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who showed any type of support. Whether you shared a post, told a friend, donated, volunteered, walked, or ran beside us, from my family to yours, thank you. Your love and support means more than words can express.

This race was created in honor of my brother, Rickney, whose life continues to inspire us every single day. While we wish he were still here, we are committed to making sure his story becomes a source of hope for others. His legacy is no longer defined by how he died, but by the conversations, awareness, and lives that continue to be touched because of him.

Miles for Minds is more than a race. It’s a reminder that every mile represents someone fighting a battle we may never see. It’s a place where people can come together, have honest conversations, support one another, and remind each other that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

This is only the beginning. Our goal is to continue growing this event year after year, reaching more families, bringing more resources into our community, and continuing to break the stigma surrounding mental health, especially within communities where these conversations have too often been left unspoken.

To everyone who believed in this vision and helped make our second race possible, thank you for helping us honor Rickney in such a meaningful way. We hope you’ll continue this journey with us as we grow Miles for Minds into something that creates lasting change.

Always remember everyday, you have a chance and a choice & you are enough just how you are. 💙
