A five-year-old asking when her next MATH class is. On a Sunday night 👇

That was my youngest, lying in bed, because her class is early in the week and she couldn’t wait.

In eleven years of teaching I watched so many bright kids lose interest in the exact thing they used to love.

And it usually wasn’t the subject’s fault… it was that the only thing anyone ever offered them was more of it, the same way, just faster.

What I’ve watched with my girls taking classes with @imacslive this fall is what happens when a kid who loves something gets a completely different way to think about it.

Logic, puzzles, problems they’ve never seen before.

It’s hard, it’s rigorous, and they think it’s FUN.

They come out of class asking to start next week’s work, and nobody has to remind them.

When a kid is passionate about something, you don’t have to push them to learn it. You just have to give them something worth thinking about.

If you have a kid like that (grades 1 to 6), comment IMACS and I’ll send you the link to try a free class.

Your kid finished the math book early, so you bought the next one. That isn't enrichment 👇

Paid partnership with @imacslive

A kid who's ahead in math can usually see how to do the problem before she even starts it, and so the next workbook mostly teaches her to be fast and right… which feels great, right up until she meets a problem she can't see the end of.

I watched that land in my honors classes for eleven years. Bright kids, ahead their whole lives, and give them an assignment with no model and every hand went up at once.

What I look for now, for my own kids, is a program that places them by what they can actually do, hands them problems they haven't been shown how to solve, puts them in a live room with a teacher and kids at their level, and gives them work they own between classes.

For my two youngest that's IMACS, every Tuesday morning, and they ask to do their prep work almost as soon as class ends.

If your kid is in grades 1 to 6 and ahead in math, comment IMACS and I'll send you the link to try a free class. (The full review, including the one thing I'd change, is on my site.)

@imacslive Supports young students in their pre class work using a scaffoldin method that supports students step-by-step as they learn new concepts. Instead of memorizing, students build understanding, strengthen critical thinking, and develop the confidence to solve problems independently.

Real learning happens when students understand the process, not just the answer.

Math enrichment practice with @imacslive curriculum!

Learning about mathematics using the Papy Minicomputer, Language of Arrows, Language of Strings through puzzles and games all help with logic and critical thinking skills and handling abstractions at an early age. 👦🏻🧠🧮
