📍 IMAGINE AFRICA - GREATER KRUGER

🇺🇸And to wrap up the memories from our days at Imagine Africa, a little bit of everything that happened between one wildlife encounter and the next. 🤍

Waking up while it was still dark, heading out as the sky began to brighten, spending hours exploring the reserve, and ending the afternoon watching the sun set in the middle of the African bush.

But looking back at these photos now, I think one of the best parts was experiencing all of this with my parents. Our first safari in Africa became a collection of moments that I know we’ll remember forever.

These are some of the photos I most wanted to keep from this experience. 🇿🇦

Thank you, @imagineafricalodge, for being part of such special days for us.

🇺🇸An album I couldn’t wait to share: some of the wildlife encounters we had during our safaris at @imagineafricalodge. 🐘🦁

One thing I learned very quickly is that there’s no such thing as a planned photo on safari. You don’t get to choose which animal will appear, the distance, the light, or how long it will stay. You simply watch, enjoy the moment and, when you can, capture it.

We had some incredibly close encounters, saw entire herds, spent several minutes simply watching certain scenes unfold, and somehow I even managed to turn the camera around for a few safari selfies. 😂

These were some of the animals we encountered during our days at Imagine Africa. And I think these photos show just a little of how lucky we were out there. 🤍

📍 IMAGINE AFRICA - GREATER KRUGER

🇺🇸A little more of the place we called home in Greater Kruger. 🤍

Imagine Africa has exactly the kind of setting that feels right for a safari trip: only a few accommodations, nature all around you, and spaces that make you want to enjoy the lodge just as much between game drives.

I picked some of my favorite photos to show you a closer look at the details, because everything goes by so quickly on video that there’s always so much more to see.

And honestly… choosing only 20 wasn’t easy. 😂

Which spot would you choose to spend your time between safaris?

📍 IMAGINE AFRICA - GREATER KRUGER

🇺🇸One of the great reasons to choose a lodge in this region of South Africa is the opportunity to experience a safari within a private reserve.

Imagine Africa is located in Olifants West Nature Reserve, in the Greater Kruger region, and game drives are part of the lodge experience.

There are two game drives a day, in the morning and late afternoon, always accompanied by a guide, and each one gave us completely different experiences.

These were such special days, the kind that stay with you forever. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience our first safari in Africa.

Thank you, Imagine Africa, for welcoming us so warmly and for being part of a memory we’ll carry with us forever. 🤍

📍 IMAGINE AFRICA - GREATER KRUGER

🇺🇸What is a day at a safari lodge in Greater Kruger like? 🐘

At Imagine Africa, the day starts early, with the first game drive before the sun even rises. Along the way, we stop in the bush for a little snack before heading back to the lodge for a full breakfast.

Between activities, there’s still time to relax and enjoy the lodge. Then comes lunch, and in the late afternoon, we head out for our second game drive, including a stop in the middle of the bush to enjoy the sunset.

After continuing the safari into the night, we return to the lodge for dinner, which can be served on the deck or in the boma around the fire.

And the next day, it all starts again. Two game drives a day, meals included, and a daily routine completely surrounded by nature.

If you also dream of having an experience like this, save this video for when you’re planning your trip to South Africa. 🇿🇦

📍 IMAGINE AFRICA - GREATER KRUGER

🇺🇸Our first safari lodge in South Africa was Imagine Africa, located within Olifants West Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger region.

With only six accommodations, the lodge offers a more private experience, surrounded by the African bush and with spaces completely integrated into nature.

In this first video, I’m showing you around the lodge. Next, I’ll show you what a full day here looks like, followed by everything we experienced on our safaris.

Share this with someone you’d love to experience this with!

I wasn’t expecting two of Africa’s Big Five to be waiting outside our tent… 🐘🐃

But that’s exactly what happened!

Our luxury safari tent overlooked a waterhole where elephants and buffalo wandered in before we’d even headed out on our first game drive.

It’s moments like this that made our stay so unforgettable ⛺️✨

Save this for the day you finally book that African safari.
