my therapist always tells me to celebrate my wins, so here we are 🙌🏾 @westbrook and i created a film titled “own the 8 count” in partnership with @logitech, that has been making waves all summer!! The film, which highlights the fight for equity in the dance community, kicked things off with a debut at @cannes_lions, to an @essencefest award win, and most recently rave reviews at @mvaaff.

as a former dancer, this film means a whole lot to me and finally allowed me to use both of my degrees in journalism and dance 😅 it champions creators of color and their right for proper credit and ownership of their creations.

congratulations to my brother and the man who set this fight for equilaity off @jaquelknight, my fellow creative team @heyyallitsjae, @dawnluckymanning, @tokyo_rose and @waltbrowntellem, our visionary director @childartiste, our phenomenal dp @jayswuen, our incredible editor @jaketorchin, our @logitech partners and every single person involved who brought this powerful film to life⚡️more to come.
