Hi friends—I’m reading at Stanford next week with @jiachen_o_jiachen and introduced by the amazing @bhion_achimba. We would love to see you there! They ask you to register—but no one will be turned away. And since I’ve been off of IG for a bit I’m posting here a photodump of some stellar recent readings, plus a photo of my awesome first year Stegner poet cohort and some horses and a dog and new ID.

the “writing” album in my camera roll has been updated frequently this summer…between college graduation and leaving one home for another (abroad), I’ve found myself returning more and more to the beautiful words & mantras that life presents me with. most times they are poems in my monthly poetry mag or lines from beautiful novels, but sometimes they are visual art from a cool creator or someones burner account on tiktok. they speak to me all the same 👣

this is the language that has spoken to me at a time when I’m learning what puts my heart on fire- and I hope it does for you, too. ✨🔁🪽🫂🫀

Join us Saturday August 22 at 1:00 PM, for an informative and engaging training led by Jude Glazner of TGRCNM’s Education and Outreach Department, designed to build greater understanding, awareness, and advocacy for transgender and nonbinary communities. RSVP by clicking the link in our bio.

This Transgender Cultural Fluency Training lays the foundation for participants to gain a better understanding of what it means to be transgender, clarify common misconceptions about transgender people, become familiar with the challenges transgender communities face, and learn ways to be a strong and engaged advocate for transgender people.

Later that evening, we are thrilled to welcome poets Imogen Smith, Ryan Dennison, Jake Skeets, and Althea Baird for an hour of poetry readings beginning at 7pm. Both events are free and can be attended independently. We hope to see you there!
