Last first day of middle school for Oliver. At 5’7 tall and still the sweetest, brilliant, talented and loving boy we know. Proud to see him shine today and everyday! Happy FDoS, our son 🍎3 John 1:4: “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth”.

| Life Update |

About a year ago, right after graduation, I started a part time position @impactpvd as the Music Director and full time at Wendy’s right near where we live at the same time. Got to work with an amazing church and an amazing crew at Wendy’s.

On January 29th a fire happened at the church building which was a very unexpected event to happen to new members like my wife and I. I could’ve left my position but decided to “stay where the issue was at” like Paul calling young Timothy to stay in Ephesus. Around the same time my Wendy’s boss was bringing up how she never believed in the church and only believed in God, but not the community due to some early childhood conflicts she had with the church.

Moving forward to now. I began my full time position as the Associate Pastor/Music Director/Youth Pastor at Impact Center PVD (new location) and @impactmakeryouth. With amazing mentors, @percy_ballah and @katiebizzle. With Wendy’s I had to leave the job but this month is the 6th month my former boss has gone to a church I recommend her and she has loved every moment since. She has talked to her crew about Jesus and gets excited to talk about the church service every time I visit. This has proved even more that the marketplace ministry is just as important as vocational ministry.

I am grateful to start this chapter in life with my wife who has been a big supporter.

Also checkout my youth who know how to lead in dancing at any youth event 💃🕺

Genesis 4:6,7
“Why are you so angry?” the Lord asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.” Real talk: Anger is a normal human emotion and like any emotion it is INFORMATION - something to acknowledge, think about and honor. However, that information MUST be used in a way that is healthy and constructive or it can be incredibly harmful to yourself or others.*

1. Anger can kill your ability to think rationally.
2. Anger can kill the character of God in you and others … ie. You fail to lean into the grace in goodness in you or to acknowledge that in the person who may have harmed you.
3. Anger can kill your ability to have healthy relationships with people you care about.
4. Anger can kill your perception of yourself and others’ perception of you.
5. Anger can kill your ability to think straight and make good decisions.
6. If not dealt with correctly, anger can cause deep and irreparable harm - sin. #impactpvd #impactmakeruth #angerkills #youthministry #youthgroup #youth
