It was a journey of community, learning, and meaningful conversations. My sincere appreciation to @globalchangemakers for believing in this idea and providing the support that brought it to life. Thank you to @impactpadi for your invaluable guidance throughout the journey. To Her Period Slay Care Initiative @herperiodslay thank you for providing the people, expertise, and knowledge that made this project possible. To our partner schools, teachers, parents, volunteers, and every adolescent who trusted us with their stories and voices, thank you for making this journey worthwhile. Because lasting change is never the work of one person. It takes two to tango. #twototangoproject #menstrualhealtheducation

One truth about social impact? It can be lonely, sacrificial, and thankless. A lot of times, you’re doing the work, and it feels like you’re on your own. Like no one really sees or understands what you do. Which is why we’re doing this. Every week, we’re taking out time to spotlight individuals who are showing up every day in the social impact space, with or without recognition. To celebrate them and remind them that they’re not alone. This week, we’re recognizing Mobolade Obileye, founder of @heart.ekiiira of Ekiiira Educational Foundation. Here are two sure things you can do for us today: - Share this. Repost it. Amplify the work. - Celebrate them in the chats Because when more people see it, more people can support it.

Are you passionate? Yes. Are you speaking? Yes. But can they actually understand you? This is what passion without proper storytelling looks like.

I remember when my coach would ask, Agnes what’s your sustainability plan? And in my mind I’ll be like: “Madam abeg 😅 just let me do this project. I’m passionate about it. Which one be sustainability again? abeg na problem I wan solve, I no kill person.” At that time, all I cared about was impact. Doing the work. Showing up. Solving the problem in front of me. But now? I understand why she kept asking. Because the truth is: - Passion can start the work… - But sustainability is what keeps it alive. If you don’t build something that can sustain itself, You’ll get tired. Funding will get shaky. And the work will pack up no matter how important it is or how much passion you have That question I used to avoid? It’s now the same question I ask founders. And more importantly, it’s something we now help NGOs build intentionally. Because impact is not just about starting. It’s about staying long enough to actually make a difference. That’s the real work.
