Hello you sweet souls. I’m somewhat emerging from my summer cocoon, tear-stained but somehow holding a new body of work and a place to share it with you in person. I’ll be doing my very first market event, so if you’re local to Portland, OR, mark your calendar for September 26th!

It’s been so nice being able to soak up the sun, play in the dirt, and weave the grass; and very humbling to work both in extensive solitude, and cracked open and held by fellow flowers. In my grief, I grew a garden. 🌸

Lots of cyanotypes, ceramics, and other pieces from all my art lessons this summer will be on view and available for purchase, so be sure to stop by and say hi!

Two months ago we had to say goodbye to our sweet precious rainbow angel, Sindri, and my heart was shattered. It’s taken me two months just to put these photos together and probably rest of my life to adequately express what a special being he was. (Swipe through the photos to read more)

He was more than just a cat. I’ve met and had cats all my life but he was truly one of a kind.

My little shadow. My soot sprite. My angel, too good for this world.

Shortly after we adopted him, he started having health issues that resulted in so many vet visits over the years, trying everything we could to fix him, with ultimately no answers as we tried to give him the absolute best life possible.

We never took a single moment for granted, and every day I said it was heaven on earth because it truly was with Sindri.

My favorite part of every day was going to bed for our nightly cuddles, sleeping right between me and Matt every single night.

And every time I had to leave the house I couldn’t wait to come back home to him.

Nearly every time he wanted to go outside I obliged, often shirking my duties, often taking my computer outside to work in the grass.

We went outside no matter the weather, he loved it so much. I could watch him watch the world and play in the grass for hours. I was so excited to spend another summer in the garden with him.

And he was the sweetest soul. He would never hurt a fly, and would only gently pet the ants trailing through the kitchen.

If you ever did a photoshoot at my house, he was guaranteed to test the set and lighting beforehand,

or visit you and say hi.

He was there for every editing session, every email,

right beside me for every piece of art, every painting,

every movie prop,

every moment I was sad or angry or scared or stressed.

I could look into his eyes and see everything that was really important, everyone and everything I really love.

It still doesn’t feel real. It won’t ever feel real. I was always afraid he thought his name was Angel because of how much I called him that, and I still expect to see him around every corner, or waiting patiently for us to go outside together and walk through the lupine.

And maybe it won’t ev

Here’s some behind the scenes photos of my last music video shoot/adventure at Trillium Lake that my friend @laurenjohnson.co / @impulsings took!

If you haven’t watched the video you can do so on YouTube or the link in my bio!

Find Your Way is an original synthwave song that I produced and performed at sunrise on Trillium Lake, with Mount Hood in the background.

It was a pretty magical experience watching the sun rise on the mountain around 5:30am, seeing the still clear reflection of the mountain in the water, and being surrounded by ducks while performing. I’m grateful for my friend @laurenjohnson.co who woke up early and joined me in this experience. It would not have been the same without her.

After filming this performance, we spent the rest of the day exploring the Mount Hood wilderness, hiking through the forest and shooting photos and videos. Many of the shots throughout this video were filmed during that adventure.

If you’re looking for some music to drive through the mountains, study, create, or just vibe, I hope this song gives you gives you that space.

If you enjoyed this performance, I’d love to hear what it made you feel. Leave a comment below, and if you’d like to see more original music performed in beautiful places, please consider liking the video and subscribing on YouTube (link in bio)

Thank you for listening.

Today is my birthday! With this birthday portrait, I’ve now been making portraits for my birthday for half of my life. 🥹 It’s such a delight and honor to watch myself grow over the years, and create art documenting the entire journey. The years fly by faster and faster, and the words I wrote for my birthday last year still echo in my mind every day and continue to move me forward, hone me in, and expand me. I love getting to live my life, experiencing and creating the world through my eyes, and I feel really grateful to have reached this place. I love getting to be me! Thirty one was so much fun, I’m so ready to see what this next cycle around the sun will bring to me, and what I will bring to it. ❤️ Go make some art today! Look up at the sky and close your eyes and breathe it all in. Be silly! Scream into the void! See what it screams back at you. ✨

grateful for a job that brings me to cool places 👩🏼‍💻 @pictime_us

after working alongside all these lovely humans for the past four-ish years (3.5 technically but who’s counting lmao) — this past week we all finally got to meet IRL and sink into a week of connection, nature, relaxation and team bonding.

so many team members were there in spirit! all the US based peeps who couldn’t make it + all the aussies and israel + euro based humans, i’m looking at you 👀 y’all were so missed

so grateful for the chance to finally connect with such an amazing team, outside of the computer screens. i’ve wanted to visit this magical place for so so long, so it was extra special getting to do it w all these rad humans.

we <3 you @pictime_us

Today is my birthday!! This year, I’m tuning in even more and channeling every ounce of my childhood self into me now, demanding the things I want, trusting my abilities and my vision, making my art first, and following what excites me the most. It’s fun getting to document my birthdays over the years, because for much of my life I’ve felt like I was waiting to become this dream version of myself, and as I get closer and closer to that version, I realize that version was already me, it was me as a child, and I already have everything I want to be within myself. It’s always a returning to who you truly are. I can’t wait to see what I create this time around the sun. Cheers to 31!!!
