Through creation to the Creator.

“Nature is only the image, the symbol; but it is the symbol Scripture invites me to use. We are summoned to pass in through Nature, beyond her, into that splendour which she fitfully reflects. And in there, in beyond Nature, we shall eat of the tree of life.” (C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory)

To see the angel in the stone, and carve til’ it’s set free. To be the marble that does not cling, to pieces meant to flee.

Swipe for highlights from my literary pilgrimage. Peak District National Park -> Robin Hood’s Bay -> Florence.

Visiting the peaks, valleys, caves, and coasts my next book is inspired by.

Managed to finish the first draft of book 2. Now the real work begins. And the quest continues.

Late global running day celebration!!

Can’t express how much running has brought into my life, from friendships, to goals and confidence and being able to share in the running pain with others.

Here’s just a few of the people I’ve been lucky enough to run alongside, and some pics alone and crying (cough cough Dallas marathon).

Wouldn’t change a thing, I love you running (sometimes)!!

Austin is a special place with an incredible community and amazing people. A few highlights from my past week in Austin.
Huge thanks to @leander_athletic_club for letting me come train with @pumpfit_paulo.

Appreciate @timrileytraining for the amazing tour of @thisgymatx and can’t wait to get back and train there.

And thanks to @deka.fit for putting on a great event. I honestly had no idea what I was getting myself into, but now I know.

We also got to celebrate our anniversary at the best restaurant in Austin, @tentenatx.

Big thanks to @squatchfrontierfitness and @warrior.women.atx for putting on an amazing Mother’s Day event with @drinkdottir.

And thank you to everyone who trained with me throughout the week and pushed me to become better. @sarahjbackman @leanbeanmachine @maxinebarney13 @alexa_mcauliffe @__kaitlynjohnson__ @sarahbethzoe @hannaheden_fitness @daniellegertner @kelli.bethea @inders_ky you are the reason why @drinkdottir was created. Thank you for who you are.

Austin will always hold a special place in my heart. 📷 @djfalconnn #community #fitness #drinkdottir

Austin’s Breakfast Club Ride! 🚴‍♀️☀️

a police escort through Austin and the hill country, hundreds of riders out there just being passionate about cycling! I had no idea there was a community this big and this fun in Austin until I got into it myself.

For me, cycling felt intimidating (and still does). There’s a lot of gear, a lot of lingo, a lot of people who seem like they’ve been doing it forever. I’m very lucky to have knowledgeable friends and the cycling community in Austin to help me learn and genuinely want people to enjoy it!

This group ride was intense, but SO much fun. And if you’re curious and don’t know where to begin, ask me and jump into rides! I definitely don’t know a lot, but can help to begin
