2D Artist @indijart / 3D Artist @ashforest_art This plate is a collaboration between Ash Guynn and India Hines. This piece is about looking back at yourself and taking time to reflect on where you’ve been, who you are, and who you’re becoming. The spiral represents that continuous journey inward, reminding us that sometimes growth means returning to ourselves, seeing things from a new perspective, and allowing ourselves to keep evolving. This plate, with an included November 19th seasonally inspired dinner invitation, is available for purchase at https://www.patinagalleryindy.com/by-the-hand-dinner-series

“Crossroads” opens March 6, 6pm in our Guichelaar Gallery at CAMi. Curated by India Hines, part of our long term artist residency Hines selected 18 artists whose work explores Indianapolis and Indiana as intersections of place, culture, and identity. Hines highlights the complex dimensions of life here through artists’ relations to local histories, community spaces, inner landscapes, and the city’s influence on their lived experiences. Artists: Ava Tankersley @akt.jpeg Bri Powell Cameron Omega @cameron__omega Fernando Casanova (Fernando) @fernando.global Jesús Andrade Mares Joshua Mark Phillippe @joshymark KC Coverdale (KC) Sophie Sturgeon @sophiesturgeonart Kionne Bybee Kipp Coverdale Kyle Bob Morgan @kylebobmorgan_art Sofia Casanova Matt Fertig @mattbfertig Mazzy Booth Tristan Roy @tristan_roy_art Robert Bentley (Hanz One) @bentley_murals Neil Cain (Neil Clifton Cain) @patternhungry Sunshine Gambill (Sunshine Ray) @sunshinerayart About the curator India Hines is part of the Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis (CAMI) Long Term Artist Residency. Self-taught, their work is rooted in intuition, spirituality, and the subconscious, treating art as a transformative experience rather than purely an aesthetic object. Working across ink, gouache, watercolor, oil, and mural, India creates figurative forms and organic shapes that feel both dreamlike and ancestral. Their process is deeply meditative and often begins without a fixed plan, allowing emotion, memory, and spiritual guidance to lead the work. Through this intuitive approach, their art explores balance, lineage, and the unseen forces that shape identity. This exhibition was made possible by the Indy Arts Council and the City of Indianapolis. Image: Cameron Omega, I won’t forget, I remember, Acrylic on Canvas, 24×36, 2025.
