And here are the pictures (again)

A big shout to this team. From my fellow judges to the city producers. I’ve had so much fun watching and judging all the movies made for @48hfputrecht.

But these people, they make it special. I love you guys.

3 month ago I had the honor to represent my team @yalla_films in Lisbon after winning 1st place at the @beirut48hourfilmproject.
In the middle of all the chaos happening around I was debating whether I go or not.
I am glad I participated and represented my country in such difficult times.

A big big thank you to @48hourfilmproject and a special one to @indravth and @mark_at_48 for creating this magic and making me feel safe and at home.

@nourakiki our city producer, the one behind it all, without you this wouldn't happen

Forever grateful and honored to represent my country in front of the world and spreading the word around.

Last week was full of “pinch-me” moments. What a joy to spend time with fellow independent filmmakers, screen “The Retirement Party” at the Shorts Film Corner during the Cannes Film Festival, and be immersed in all things film. We’re coming home with an abundance of creative energy, and most importantly, new friends from around the world and unforgettable memories.

I’m incredibly grateful that thanks to 48HFP I had the chance to return to Cannes for the fourth time already.

Huge congratulations to the teams behind “Diaboł / The Imp” and “How to End a Love Story?” for their screenings at the Short Film Corner in Cannes ✨

This year, I also had some wonderful meetings and the pleasure of co-organising one of them for european screenwriters on behalf of Polish Screenwriters’ Guild in collaboration with FSE.

It was a good week 💛

Yeah, they thought they could trick me….

Juist, ME.

3. LUV U GUYS

Filmapalooza Recap!
It’s been two weeks since the Filmapalooza Film Festival and we are still on cloud 9!
“Switcheroo!” and “The Retirement Party” had their European debuts in Lisbon at Filmapalooza. Both screenings had engaged audiences, laugh-out loud responses, and post-screening compliments 👏👏👏
In addition to the screenings, we met great filmmakers, made new friends, and participated in a roundtable discussion for our script, “Breaking Up,” with screenwriter, Steve Mallory.

And to top it all off, “The Retirement Party” had an exceptionally great night at the awards show.
It was nominated for...
Best Use of Genre
Best Song
Best Writing
Best Directing
Best Film

It won the award for...
Best Song
AND....
selected to screen in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival!

It is an honor to have our film representing Minneapolis. Congrats to the whole team!
