This time of year calls women to their depths.

Samhain to me mirrors the first day a woman’s bleed. A first day of a new cycle.
1.11 - Samhain, celebrated within the Celtic calendar is seen as the first day of a new cycle, some call it the witches new year.
Acknowledging the permission to drop the holding and shed the layers your body is aching for. Trust in the darkness that holds the potency of a woman's soul.

In times of descent, shedding, and meeting our shadows, we need more connection, devotion, pleasure, and expression. We need time to remember the wise woman within, as we release the programmes and conditioning that silence our true nature.

Join @ines_violet and I for a deep, reverent day of true connection and inherent feminine power.

This day to me is one where woman gathering together, is really the most vital.

Ines (or “Inni”), is a dear friend who gave me her menstrual blood to make a portrait of her. She stayed with us for a couple of months and for the first time gave her blood to the Earth. She is taking strides to reclaim her womb blood as sacred and this portrait honours that.

Today I was collecting my son from Summer Camp and this fella in the video (Dwaight) was looking for our mutual friend to charge his electric bike battery: our friend is away so I offered him to come to charge at our place. He stayed and watched as I painted. I am currently working on an artwork of my partner breastfeeding our son (with her blood), which was her request.

This was his reaction to the work, and painting with menstrual blood. What an absolute beauty ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

$Finally got round to posting some footage from @lovejamcommunity Lovejam by the Sea where I opened the festival weekend at our home in @domnuvalley What a beautiful weekend we had, welcoming so many incredibly interesting humans to our home. This is taken from 'Arrow Flies True', written just down the road near Ilfracombe and inspired by the lifeways of American cultures both north and south. Lifeways that have been marginalised by the global North cultures and colonial powers, but carry wise teachings on how to serve life. As my arrow continues to seek its mark of truth, I am grateful for these teachings that keep reminding me why I live, make music - do anything really! Okê Arô is the salutation for the orixâ of Oxossi in Afro-Brazilian spiritual traditions (easy singalong chorus too 🙂 ) I'm so grateful for this extra-large @benedickgeorge band: @aidanjohnwatson @patch_murphy_ @ines_violet @josiecorke @acsshares @lewisdafydd.music 🤳🏻@lanajagger_$
