My morning supplement routine to cover all my bases 😊 Of course I try to get as many nutrients from the food I eat and the food choices I make but there are always going to be gaps, and this is where my supplements come in. These are all available on @w_wellness_uk 🌿

Thank you to every single one of you who came. At the beginning of the class I said we’d work hard and certainly we did! And it was so good to be in the room with you all and do it together 💪🏼

A big thank you to @rebornactive (@loucohealth), @charliemccorry (@bodhial.uk), @veloforte for sharing your wisdom with our community 🔥

Magnesium won’t build your collagen. But it’s part of what lets your body actually use it.

As we hit 40, it’s tempting to reach for one “hero” ingredient. Magnesium isn’t the only one — but it’s quietly part of the supporting cast.

Building collagen is an energy-intensive process, and that energy runs on magnesium. It’s a cofactor in the reactions your body uses to link amino acids into new protein tissue.

Magnesium’s role is to keep the wider machinery powered so those processes can run properly.

It doesn’t boost how much collagen your gut absorbs — it works on what your body does with it once it’s there.

So it’s an essential nutrient and particularly for women as our estrogen declines.

One more reason to take it : magnesium supports muscle relaxation, which can support sleep quality — and sleep is part of the recovery window your body uses for repair. Not a direct route to “better skin,” but part of the same system as when we sleep better our collagen rebuilds.

This is a hero nutrient as it’s the one that makes the rest of the system work.

For as long as I’ve run SDP, almost everything we do has lived on a screen. The workouts, the challenges, the whole community. It works, but I’ve wanted to bring it all into one room for years 💙

So I’m genuinely excited to finally say it out loud: we’re hosting the very first SDP Strength Social.

On Friday 9th October we’re taking over The Studio Space at Television Centre for a morning of strength, wellness and proper conversation 💪

A 45 minute SDP strength workout with me, a panel with four brilliant female founders, refreshments, a goody bag from some of our favourite brands, and time to actually connect with the women around you.

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve trained with me for years or you’re just finding SDP now. This is your chance to feel what we’re about in real life, away from the screen ✨

It’s completely complimentary, but spaces are genuinely limited and RSVP is required. Everything you need is at the link in my bio.

Swipe through for what to expect, who you’ll hear from, and what’s waiting for you on the day ➡️

There are just 10 places remaining for The 7th Annual ANP Summit - but you still have three ways to join us in London this September.

Whether you’re looking for two days of focused learning, a practical day dedicated to clinical clarity, or the complete three-day experience, there’s an option to suit you.

The 7th Annual ANP Summit: The Nervous System in Clinical Practice brings together eight leading experts for two days exploring nervous-system health, emerging clinical insight, interactive Q&As, and practical strategies you can apply directly in practice. You’ll receive 16 hours of CPD, plus access to slides, recordings, digital materials, exhibitors, practitioner discounts, and a complimentary goody bag.

Practitioner Perspectives: Unlocking Clinical Clarity is a focused one-day event designed to strengthen case-taking, assessment, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning. Alongside expert-led talks, you’ll take part in the hands-on workshop How to Read the Body & Solve Complex Cases, exploring practical clues such as posture, jaw movement, tongue presentation, circulation, balance, and autonomic indicators. You’ll receive 8 hours of CPD, plus access to recordings, slides, exhibitors, and practitioner resources.

For the fullest learning experience, choose the Clinical Mastery Bundle and attend both events across three immersive days. Develop clearer clinical reasoning, expand your practical toolkit, and gain 24 hours of CPD, while saving £25 as an ANP member or £50 as a non-member compared with purchasing separately.

Some recent wellness work 🖊️ I love interrogating the industry and that means celebrating the best as well as calling out the worst. Huge thanks to all the brilliant experts I spoke with for these pieces, appreciate you all.

💧 I got sweaty testing infrared saunas for @thelondonstandard and spoke with @dr_rajarora and @bydr.e about the benefits.

💪 I investigated creatine loading for @getthegloss and got the facts from @robhobsonnutritionist and @feelgoodwithlavina. I also recommend some of my favourite creatine products in the piece.

🐟 I tested fish oil supplements and got to work on some third party deep dives and rancid fish oil claims for @thelondonstandard with the help of @rhitrition and @karenpreecesmith_nutritionist.

⬆️ I explored the science behind jump training and bone health for @getthegloss with help from @nadiatheosteopath and @laura.wilson___ of @swisstouchphysio.

🍄‍🟫 And I rounded up my favourite shrooms in a guide to the best lion’s mane supplements and got to geek out on beta glucan content. Thank you @rhitrition and @karenpreecesmith_nutritionist for your help with that one!

HAVE YOU EVER TESTED YOUR OMEGA 3 LEVELS?

As someone who doesn’t eat oily fish I rely on a good quality omega 3 supplement (Inessa, Higher Nature and Bare biology are my favourites) to make sure I’m getting these essential fatty acids specifically EPA and DHA into my body 🐟

You might be wondering why it even matters?

Omega 3 fats are anti-inflammatory, and important for the heart, brain, our skin, eyes and they play a role in regulating a healthy inflammatory response 🧠

They are key components of our cell membranes along with omega 6 fatty acids, and the balance of the two matters as it can influence how our cells function and communicate.

The body isn’t very efficient at producing the omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. It can convert small amounts of plant based omega 3 (alpha linolenic acid known as ALA) found in walnuts, chia and flaxseed into EPA and DHA but it’s an inefficient process so we rely largely on oily fish, algae or supplements as a direct source 🐠

We typically consume more omega 6 than omega 3 from our diets naturally so having an insight into your ratio of omega 3:6 can help identify if you need any additional support when it comes to omega 3.

As well as testing your omega 3 index this test does also looks at the ratio of omega 3:6 🙌

The report gives a recommended dose of which is a useful guide helping you choose a good quality supplement as they are not all created equally and contain varying amounts of EPA and DHA.

Do you eat oily fish? And if not, do you take an omega 3 supplement?

✨Gratitude ✨
I wanted to extend a big thank you to the people and brands that made our day retreat possible.

The beautiful @ampwellbeing Pilates equipment, the lovely venue and team @thebroadcasterlondon. The very generous brands that supplied the contents to our goodie bags. @wearefudi showing us that a low sugar life doesn’t have to be low fun OR low tastiness. @inessa_wellness and their incredible supplement formulations, @mymicroba an incredibly comprehensive map of the microbiome that helps so many clients make sense of and manage symptoms, especially when they’ve been told there is “nothing wrong with them” after extensive GI investigations.

Thank you to @elephlowerproductions @jesw3 for the beautiful pictures and the fact that you’re such a warm and welcoming presence, putting people at ease at every event you’ve supported with.

Thank you @andreiap_fernandes for your help on the day, your enthusiasm, kindness and efficacy is always coupled with bringing so much fun as well.

A massive thank you to our attendees for supporting, asking amazing questions and for giving up your valuable time on a Saturday to join us.

Most importantly, the biggest thank you goes to @amylouiseparascandola from @mimosa_wellness, I cannot tell you how well supported I felt. You are so diligent, enthusiastic and hard working as well as incredibly patient. You’re also a DAMN good teacher and I can’t wait until the day I can do one of your hardcore arm finishers all the way through.

We have had such lovely feedback and I hope everyone enjoyed their day as much as I did. For anyone who missed this event but wants to be notified of our next one - drop either of us a DM 💌

Happy weeekend everyone 🌷
