tilde (~) No.03 - a one night process-show

24th of October 2026. 17 - 23 pm
(free of charge)

at Platform Stockholm, Lövholmsbrinken 12

As a second instance of evening events, following up on the Real Soon Saloon in late august, we invited the artists Therese Norgren and Ingrid Segring to bring tilde (~) to Platform, hosting a process-show on Saturday October the 24th, including works by Sofia Andersson, Rebecka Tollens, Matilda Söderberg, Behin Roozbeh, Hannah Nittnaus, Nora Pollak, Alden Jansson, Ingrid Segring and Therese Norgren.

Drinks will be served and music shall be played.

.......................................................

tilde (~) is an artist-driven exhibition series inspired by a sense of constantly being almost there, in a state of approach, striving without resolution, intensity without culmination; artistically, geographically, sexually, temporally, physically, spiritually, socially, economically, etc. With the urge to show another part of the artist’s practice than the finished, polished, perfect end product.

Programme

17:00 Doors open

19:30 Performance by Nora Pollak

Drinks and music from 20:00.

Checking in after a much-needed social media break to share some images and words from a very special day with tilde (~) and their first workshop. We took as a starting point a beautiful and evocative essay by Ursula K. Le Guin "The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction”. (If you have not read I highly recommend! You can find PDFs online). After this reading we spent the day in Öland’s lime quarry Gillberga, nestled just off the stony pebbled coast. This man-made dusty bowl is in part industrial excavation, ancient stone carved by machines and in part, a place where nature is reclaiming its space. Crystal-clear blue water has fallen and allowed life to return, tall seagrass blows in the wind and various birds have nested in the cliffs and are raising their young. Amongst the broken rocks are many fossils, ancient crawling animals crystallised and gleaming through cracked stones. It’s here we spent the day, collecting, sharing, making and responding. There was a lot of poignant stillness pierced only by conversations, steps, the shrill sounds of terns (similar in personality to seagulls but smaller and slightly more elegant).

Spending the day in such a space was inspiring, grounding while also being expansive. I thought a lot about the creative process, how hands shape and hold and make. How we can be in a landscape, respond and resonate with it, intervene and extract without having to break or destroy what’s already there. How important it is to continue to keep creating moments and events push back against the reigning patriarchal capitalist ideology, one that removes us from ourselves and each other, that teaches us that our only value is in consumption or capitalist production, not in seeing or being or living and sharing.

MOVING THROUGH TRANSCENDENCE
For four future luminaries in art: Ingrid Segring, Ingrid Jacobsen, Sally von Rosen, and Ailin Mirlashari, transcendence appears as a method, a way of moving through and beyond conditions of image, body, material, and language. Across their work, a common denominator is the site of passage, crossing from one state into another.
