"Are you even understanding what I am trying to say?", she asked. As the question followed a silence for a few seconds, she asked again, "Answer me! Are you understanding or not?" With a sigh of grief he said, "No. I am not. And I don't want to", having a firm voice. She was taken aback. It scared her. The fear of not getting understood by the person who understands her the most, made her burst into tears. He made her sit, sat close to her, held her hand and said, "It's not like I don't understand your situation. It's not like I haven't put myself in your shoe and thought. But have you put yourself at my place and thought what I would have been feeling? We have not made this relationship strong to make it see such a situation between us. When I said I don't want to understand this time, I meant it. I meant it because I am tired. Tired of understanding anybody and everybody, and sometimes I feel that it has become a bane to me. I don't say much about how I feel (maybe you think I do but I don't), I don't reflect my emotions through my words everytime, but many a times I feel the pain in the lower abdomen and I feel like hugging you, hugging you tight enough that the pain gets vanished in the thin air and never returns. I don't want to understand this time because I am ready to adjust but not settle", he finished sobbingly. She looked at him, gave him a kiss and hugged him tight. "If I ever made you feel that way, I am sorry. I am sorry that I let my situations took over us and I agree, I agree that we both needs to get back to 'us'. That this relationship of ours need not be seeing this phase of ingnorance and ego clashes. Let's just drop the 'You' and 'I' and get back to what we were. Let's get back to 'us'!", She said. As they hugged and kissed each other afterwards, they found what they were lacking behind. The "we" element of their day to day life. #mirakee #poems #poetry #writersnetwork #quotes #quote #writersofinstagram #stories #ttt #quoteoftheday #writersofig #writersofmirakee #wordporn #writing #writer #relationship #relations #miscommunication #makeup
