Mana ki ngā tangata ō Te Moana Nui A Kiwa!!
So honoured to stand beside and show support for @inlet_collective and the Tsleil-Waututh people as they protest the dredging and pollution of their home Burrard inlet. This inlet is deeply tied to the whakapapa of the Tsleil-Waututh and I will always be proud to support the mana tangata of my cousins across the sea! Ko te ao, te whenua, te moana e tahi, ko ngā kaimahi tiaki, ngā ira tangata katoa!

Hear from Cedar George-Parker, member of The Tsleil-Waututh Nation and The Tulalip Tribes, about how he’s fighting for the living world.

One way you can support him, and Tsleil-Waututh members and allies, is by opposing the ongoing dredging to protect the health of the Burrard Inlet tomorrow.

📅 Sunday October 11th at 2pm
🌳Whey-ah-Wichen (Cate’s Park), səlilwət (Burrard Inlet)
🛶 Bring your own kayak, paddle, canoe, boat, etc.

This gathering is welcome to all, and family friendly. @catesparkpc is offering major discounts for people without a kayak, and there will be a gathering on the beach by @decolonialsolidarityvancouver for everyone without boats.

💵 If you’d like to donate to support future gatherings: e-transfer to weavingourworlds@proton.me until Oct 20th. Please add “TW Ceremony” in the memo note. @weaving.our.worlds

Thank you, and we hope to see you there :))
